[cite]Posted By: johnnybev1987[/cite]i bought yesterday for £26 from asda, wat a bargain
First view of it: as you would expect more realisitic then ever! i think it is good but are a couplethings i am already annoyed with i thought would say for those who are buying it, although still woulnt have put me of buying it.
firstly in the manager mode, every game your starting 11 seems to change, dunno why this is? could be that i have assistant on? but otherwise cannot think of why it would do tis, so im guessing now that i have said that probably is. also is it me or doesit seem like they give easier fouls this time? which is starting to frustrte me a bit.
will be playing online later ifanyone wants to add me Johnny_13b, havent played online yet on this one thought i would try to play a bit on my own first. at mo i am charlton around 10th after 10 games, seem to win all home games and lose away maybe that they have made more realistic as away matches are harder. only beat lil exeter away so far and only lose was at home to leeds.
Give it 8/10 so far,but i played for few hours yeterday so have not had a look at online changes etc.
turn off assistant - this caught me out last night
I'll be waiting for pro evo. Always been a pro evo person, but im not one of those idiots that will just say pro evo is better that fifa whatever happens, cos last year fifa was better than pro evo (for the first time in years), theres no question about that. Im just hoping this years pro evo bounces back to form after such a very disappointing effort last year.
[cite]Posted By: The Red Robin[/cite]To be honest, I'm just stuck in my ways! I used to love Fifa. Fifa '99 could be the best football game of all time! But then i found Pro Evo and it just always feels more realistic to me and a better challenge. I've always found Fifa a bit childish and too easy. Has this changed at all because I haven't played Fifa for about 2-3 years.
I haven't played much of either of the recent versions, but everyone I speak to now says FIFA is the better game.
I've played Pro Evo on a friends Xbox, plus PC versions, doesn't feel like they've improved the game much at all for a few years now. From the sounds of it, FIFA has really improved over the last few versions. I played FIFA 09 the other day, was quite good, has a different feel to PES, without playing either regularly it's hard to say which is better. Like I said though, people that used to prefer PES now prefer FIFA.
Pro Evo is a bit of a stinker this year, not much change from last year and judging by sales of FIFA this week (2nd biggest week one sales of all time)there won't be many people picking Pro Evo up. Trust me i'm In the know :-)
Uncharted 2 is next week and will be spectacular should keep me going till Modern Warfare 2 in Nov and Lost Planet 2 next year (download the demo)
I need to go out less. I still haven't completed Modern Warfare, Resistance, yet to start Resistance 2, can't seem to get into GTA IV, have barely scratched the surface of Killzone 2, keep dying in COD World at War... the whole thing is starting to stress me out!
Have you tried the Classic team with Pele,Gazza, the kaiser, Shilton in Goal quailty team beat the world 11 6 1 on Semi pro not as good as some of you lot but i will get there then Fifa10 domination will be mine
Having played for a couple of weeks now, utterly addickted. Have made plenty of changes to the Charlton squad in Manager mode, but stuck at Semi Pro mode, as the skills develop. Not finding it possible to win at any level above yet, having gotten used to playing PES for years with their controls, but scoring a fair few at this level. Yes, I do need to get out more!
BTW, any tips on how to improve cross accuracy? It always seems to go to far beyond the back post.

double tap dpes near post, treble tap drives it across the ground......
and if you pull the stick(ooh err) in the opposite direction after kicking it you can put backspin and slow it down a bit......
i traded in a few games for this and am i the only one who thinks its poor? i find it seems to take ages to do what you ask it to do. its not very smooth and you haven't got complete control over passes, most of them going where the computer wants them to go. Plus i find it near on impossible to run with the ball. witch frustrates me more than anything. Players do run with the ball in real life.
There are more things to a football game than good commentary. roll on pro evo.
If you turn passing assistance off, your passes will go exactly where you aim them rather than the computer trying to assist you and passing to the nearest player your pointing at...
Adding more power will 'pass through' a player if there is someone on that line but further away.
Actions will take time to perform if you are off balance or the ball hasn't settled down (however this feels the same to me as PES), also heading is difficult and has to be timed correctly to get the desired result..
Also to run or dribble faster with the ball try "flicking" the right control stick to knock the ball further infront of you and pick up pace between touches, easiest to do when your running straight and aren't changing direction too much. This right stick flick can also be used as a first touch when reciving a pass, as can hitting pass just before you recieve the ball to perform 1 touch passing.
lol played Cafc dan last night(ithink his username) cant remember his charlton life we had a good couple of games before i had to go out
first one i was charlton and he was the scum???? and he deservedly won 2-1 or 1 nil i think, second one he was charlton and i was narwich who had never been before and 1-1 full time won 3-1 in extra time, pure luck as he deserved to win both and is very good player so beware ppl
two good games tho and enjoyed it, although need to set my headset up next time so i can speak to him :-)
I am magnificently bad at this game - but still love playing it!
Currently 30 games into my 1st Be A Pro season with Charlton - I'm leagues top scorer with 28 in 23 games but missed my international debut because of an injury sustained against Oldham clogger Gregan!
Top of the league but we were bottom of the league until I got pronmoted from ressies into the first team and I am now captain.
2nd leading scorer is Jonjo and we have a wonderful chemistry up top!!
can they do that?not played it online before. pes2010 is shocking though, they come up with all this bull about it being better than ever and its worse than it ever was, especially online, it plays like they havent bothered to finish it properly
