Nick Davies

edited September 2009 in General Charlton
Reading various reports of last night it appears that we had a bunch of not so fit pros last season. Our team this season looks lean and mean, strong and fit, let's big it up for the unsung Nick Davies. He worked wonders with our players in the premiership and is IMHO worth his weight in gold, a real asset to CAFC, thank you Nick for all your bring to the team ethic. Looks very strong from the outside to me players and management together, shared vision and back in tune with the fans.

  • parky certainly praised Davies last night and sees him as an important part of the team.
  • Charlton Twitter: Charlton head of sports science Nick Davies has taken up a role with Premier League Birmingham City.
  • Shame, as said by latimer an important part of the team.

Hope we can afford to replace him.
  • Bloke sitting next to me at work joined Bristol City as fitness coach when Gary Johnson took over....may mention there is a vacancy!!!
  • Definite shame.

Nick Davies was here in the Curbs days and, although many disliked Premiership football and the style Curbishley played, our players were fit back then.

someone will now make a list of all the long term injuries we had in the Curbs era starting with the great Cory Gibbs who is now as fit as fiddle and playing every game in the MLS
  • Lovely bloke, every inch the professional and not a surprise that he's been snapped up by a premier league outfit.

Doubt we would be able to replace with such calibre.
  • Yes who can blame him going to a Prem club.

    Good luck Nick.
  • Very sad to see Nick depart I stand by original posting last year the guy is and was a real asset to CAFC good luck Nick in the premiership (again!)
  • Can we afford to replace him?

Did well last season with a small squad only a couple of long term injuries and they were not due to fitness. We alos scored a few late goals which indicates a fit team.
