Unchanged in 7 games - a new record

edited September 2009 in General Charlton
Charlton named an unchanged starting line-up for the seventh successive match on Saturday, as Southampton came to SE7.
Skipper Nicky Bailey shook off a knee complaint to continue on the left hand side of midfield, while midfielder Therry Racon overcame a hamstring niggle.

The selection of the same starting XI saw the Addicks break a record dating back to 1969/70.
On the email bulletin.

Really good to see after the last 3 seasons, especially when Pardew was here.

Does this mean 'the last time we had seven consecutive games with the same team was in 1969/70' or 'the record of six consecutive games with the same team, which has stood since 1969/70, has now been broken'?

    Anyone know?
