MISCELLANEOUS STATS

None of Charlton’s seven league games have been level at half time.

Two of our four goals conceded were in the last 5 minutes of the first half - on both occasions we responded by scoring in the first 5 minutes of the second half.

15% of the season has been completed. Of the 83 games played so far, there has been the same amount of draws as there have been home wins.

Charlton, Leeds, Gillingham and Bristol Rovers have all kept four clean sheets.

With 16 goals, Charlton are the second highest scorers in the division, one behind Huddersfield.

Charlton have conceded just one goal in the second half of a game. Leeds and MK Dons are yet to concede in the first half of a game.

Phil Parkinson was named League 1 Manager of the Month for August. The 2008/09 August winner was Nigel Pearson of Leicester.

our goal difference is the highest in this division (+12) and is only bettered by Notts Co. (+13) across the four divisions.

    Good stats.

Interesting that average score was just below that for Wycombe. I thought we played better than against Wycombe but I guess we won that won and only drew v Soton.

Its natural i suppose that people's expectations raise after 6 successive victories, but i would also point out that to me Soton were a considerably better team than Wycombe. I would be very suprised if Soton finished outside the top ten, even from where they are now.
  • True, expectations have risen but as you say Soton were much better than Wycombe.

Not sure about top ten though. They still have a lot of ground to make up and don't seem to be winning games despite playing well in spells.

Top ratings went to the 3 that made and scored the goal . Coincidence ?
  • I love your stats afka ;o) I too am a real geek when it comes to stats
  • I love the stats, but am not a geek sorry to dissappoint ;-)
  • Top number-crunching AFKA. Love the running total of average ratings by lifers. Hmmm yummy stats....

  • Great work on the stats. Biggest surprise for me was that we committed more fouls than them; I always think of Charlton as angels, Saint on the other hand seemed a bit niggley.

They did, but the referee played advantage to us a few times and presumably those occasions don't count as fouls.
