Reckon AFKA's not far off - no-one had a stinker, but there were individual errors around the team, and nobody had a blinder either.

Thought Racon and Burton did a good job. The rest a bit behind those two. 4 for Bailey is very harsh, but definitely not at his best.

  • Elliot - 9 - Great save in the first 4 mins when the entire team fell asleep, no chance with the goal, bloody excellent distribution, especially for our goal
    Richardson - 6 - did ok
    Dailly - 6 - did ok
Llera - 6 - head on a lot but still scares when on the ground
Youga - 6 - should have stopped the cross for Southamptons goal otherwise solid and hit the post
Sam - 6.5 - quieter than usual, more closely marked
Semedo - 7 - did his usual mopping up job
Racon - 4 in the first half then 8 in the second - I guess the average is a 6 but I will give him a 7 !
Shelvey - 8 - I thought he had an excellent game, always 100% and after every decision
Bailey - 8 - along with Shelvey, who were probably the only 2 outfield players to perform all 90 mins
Burton - 8 - worked tirelessly, rewarded with a goal and should have had another when ruled out IMO.
  • Elliot - 7
    Richardson - 7

    Burton - 7.5

    MoM - Burton.
  • Agree with valleyman on Elliot's distribution. His kicking is good (different class from Deano's shocking slices) but his throwing out is fantastic - don't remember seeing anything better than that anywhere, ever.
  • Elliot - 8 - superb early save, excellent distribution too. Loved the throw to Sam. Still has a moody moment with a cross every game, but he's only young
Richardson - 7 - Solid. Got forward well, but was skinned a couple of times in the second half
Dailly - 7 - Reasonably commanding but lack of pace exposed a few times
Llera - 5 - Poor. Looks more like Phil Chapple every week. Dreadful lack of compsure towards the end, and has a horrible tendency to hoof the ball straight up in the air when under pressure
Youga - 7 - Very good most of the game, great little run and unlucky to hit the post. However, stupidly reacted to the goading by their right back (who was a prick) and was lucky not to get sent off
Sam - 7 - Definitely not at his best, but never went missing, and did some useful tracking back. I thought their defence did well against him
Semedo - 6.5 - Quiet, and didn't get as involved as I felt he should have as the second half wore on. Neat and tidy enough though
Racon - 8 - A gem of a player. Really made a difference second half and took the game by the scruff of the neck
Shelvey - 7.5 - Tired towards the end and I would have taken him off with a quarter of an hour to go, but superb for the goal, and a better all-round performance than recent weeks.
Bailey - 6 - Not really in the game for long periods. Not sure about him on the left still - and he isn't himself either (drifted infield too much and left us with no width a lot of the time)
Burton - 9 - Love the way he plays. Excellent hold up play, runs his bollocks off and is very clever when he does get the ball to feet. He won far more in the air than he had any right to as well. MOM

Wagstaff - 5 - Not on for long enough to make any telling contribution - but still almost managed to give a stupid penalty away. Definitely not ready, but Parkinson is doing well in giving him a run at the right times in games

  • Elliot - 7 (saved our bacon in the first half)
Richardson - 8 (Impressed with his quiet efficency and solidity)
Dailly - 8 (bawled them out after the goal him or Richardson for my MOM)
Llera - 6 (Les Berry eat your heart out with that East Stand clearance!)
Youga - 7 Excellent. Nearly gave him an 8 but Dailly and Richardson were a little more polished for me.
Sam - 6 Subdued I thought. The player of the month curse?
Semedo - 6 The Semedo Racon fulcrum was not as good today. Racon was not as good as usual possibly because of his injury.
    Racon - 6 see above
Shelvey - 7 (worked his nuts off. I just hope we are not asking too much of him)
Bailey - 6 (would be 5 but I'm allowing for his injury scare pre match)
Burton - 7 not quite at the level of previous games but kept plugging away and was unlucky with some decisions

Richardson - 7 Really like this guy and links up well with Sam
    Dailly - 7 Solid
Llera - 6.5 Decent enough game
Youga - 7 Really trying hard and could have scored goal of the season today.
Sam - 7 Looking lively all the time and i think he'll continue to improve
Semedo - 8 Our new Keith Jones! MOM
Racon - 7 Much better second half.
Shelvey -6.5 Ran his socks off
Bailey - 6.5 ok, first and second half

  • Elliot - 8- excellent save early on and distribution top drawer
Richardson - 8 great signing, solid again today and got forward well
Dailly - 7 solid, won his headers and coped well, may need a rest soon
Llera - 5 not convinced, looks shaky and liable to a howler
Youga - 7.5 could not stand him last year, was very good today and unlucky not to score
Sam - 7 quieter than recently but saints doubled up on him, kept going though and should have had a pen
Semedo - 6.5 not at best but did not do anything wrong and still very tidy
Racon - 8 second half was our best player. so glad we kept him
Shelvey - 7.5 good assist, worked hard, better than last week.
Bailey - 6 not his best but carrying an injury and never gives up.
Burton - 8 probs overall MOM, like youga much improved and record of 4 in 7 is impressive

  • Elliot - 7.5 - distribution was class esp his long throws which seems a good addition to his game, great save right at begining aswel, but does flap at crosses.
Richardson - 6.5 Good going forward but was gettin done quite a bit again.
Dailly - 7 great positioning, esp with llera as unpredictable and eratic as ever today next to him
Llera - 5 hopefully this was just a one off perfromance or I can see sodje starting when fully fit, but I do love his comitment and effort
Youga - 6.5 first half he was pretty poor, but all the back four were, defensively he was fair to poor all game but he completly redeemed himself with his offensive play thou, he worried their left back everytime he got forward, unluky not to have scored what would have been a peach of a goal.
Sam - 7 Got a bit of rough treatment all game, but he did worry them when he had the ball, should of won a pen.
Semedo - 6 Pretty average today by his high standards, but still broke up play effectively
Racon - 8 Class above, passing and dribling were second to none, but did have a poor first half
Shelvey - 7.5 Unluky to have goal disallowed, was constant threat with ball and covers every blade of grass.
Burton 7 Glad to see him grab another goal, looks completely diffrent player from last season
Bailey - First half was poor but second half he put in a good shift linked up well with youga down left, some crunching tackles aswel

crowd were great in 2nd half loudest its been this season but couldnt believe how quiet it was in the first half I know we were playin really comically poor in parts but that was no excuse, was surprised how quiet the away end was aswel
  • Elliot - 9
Richardson - 8 (slagged him last week - looked much fitter this week and improved defensively)
    Dailly - 7
    Llera - 8
    Youga - 7
    Sam - 7
    Semedo - 7
Racon - 6 (soton wised up to him and closed him down quickly)
    Shelvey - 7
    Bailey - 7
    Burton - 7
  • Elliot - 8 (few risky bits of work - few brilliant saves)
    Richardson - 8
    Dailly - 8
Llera - 7 (very risky at the back)
    Youga - 7
    Sam - 7
    Semedo - 7
Racon - 6 (soton wised up to him and closed him down quickly)
Shelvey - 7 (Set up the goal, but was a bit too cocky imo)
Bailey - 6 (looked lost today, few good linking plays)
Burton - 7 (goal and ran alot)
  • Elliot - 8
    Richardson -6.5
    Dailly - 6.5

    Semedo -6.5
    Racon -6
    Shelvey -6.5
    Bailey -6
    Burton -7
  • Elliot - 7 nothing wrong, couple of great saves (although it looked a pen after the first one)
    Richardson - 7 solid
Dailly - 7 needed to be the brains at the back
Llera - 5 improved in 2nd half as became more positive but his pressurised clearances are really dodgy - calm down!!
Youga - 7 best I've seen him play
Sam - 6 I felt he could have covered Richardson a bit more but that may be unfair. He's a marked man now.
Semedo - 6 not as effective as he has been
Racon - 6 better 2nd half - like Sam, Southampton did a job on him
Shelvey - 8 my MOM great wide runs and crossing. Couple of poor decisions in good positions but he's learning quickly
Bailey - 5 may be because he was injured but this was not his best
Burton - 6.5 bad first half but not his fault with the balls played into him being too slow and high.

Overall I thought a draw was a fair result and was pleased that Parky sorted two key things out at half time - the defence attacked the ball much better and midfield/attack showed more patience and got the ball down.

  • Elliot - 7 Sound
Richardson - 7 Reminds me of Johnny H at times.
    Dailly - 7 Solid
Llera - 4 Looked like Les Berry had come out of retirement.
Youga - 7 Nice run when he hit the post
Sam - 7.5 Always a threat with his pace. Hope his injury isn't bad as I thought he took the impact side-on to his knee.
Semedo - 6 Anonymous first half, better second.
Racon - 7 A few decent runs, always trying to create.
Shelvey - 7.5 Worked his nads off, set up goal.
Bailey - 6.5 Still don't think we're getting the best out of him out wide.
Burton - 8 Another good game, unlucky with offside decision. Always looking to create openings.
  • Elliot - 9 great saves and fantastic quick distribution.
    Richardson - 7
    Dailly - 7
Llera - 5 Very panicy at times.
Youga - 6 Complete enigma! handles the ball for no reason, kicks ball up in the air and then does great runs.....
    Sam - 6
    Semedo - 6 Disappointing today.
Racon - 7 Our 'best' player but caught in possession today
    Shelvey - 6
    Bailey - 6
Burton - 8 Scored well and was fulcrum of the team.
