Valley Away coaches

edited September 2009 in General Charlton
does anyone know if you can book your seat but only use it for the coming back journey? It's easy for me from work to get to Liverpool St to get train to Colchester, but I'd be better off getting a coach back.

Also, the OS has this:
Tuesday, September 29th (7.45pm): Colchester United
Maidstone 1 - Armstrong Road 3.55pm
Maidstone 2 - Somerfield Hospital 4.15pm
Larkfield - Kingfisher Road bus stop 4.30pm
Medway Services 4.30pm
Bromley North station 4.30pm
Gravesend (Tollgate underpass bus stop) 4.45pm
Eltham Well Hall (roundabout, Well Hall Road north) 4.45pm
Bexleyheath (Albion Road, rear of Civic Offices) 5pm
Charlton (Anchor & Hope Lane) 5pm
Dartford (Heath Lane) 5.10pm
Thurrock Services 5.20pm

Is that the full list of stops, or just starting/ending points?

Thanks!

  • the places listed are pick ups and then drop off points only. in the past people have only used the coach one way, providing you tell the club when you book your seat there shouldnt be a problem
  • thanks - ah well those places don't work for me so that's the idea scuppered anyway!

I thought you meant Mick Walker's 'Valley Away' coach, picked up at The Valley and Eltham Church in our relegation season in 1971 / 72.
  • Any idea of the return times?

I would imagine after the match ;-)
  • I would also imagine however look it took to get there, it would take on the way back

Although to Tranmere it took 6 hours and on the way back was 5
