  • nah......... i bet he's pants. he's one of pardews signings after all.
  • Good dancer
  • ... N'Diaye don't care about this news tbh.

    ;-)
  • Hopefully he is as good as everyone's making out.

Wasn't Sodje a Pardew loan signing? You all seem pretty happy that you've managed to sign him? ;)
  • He hit lucky in one of his 27 loan signings. ;-)

Wasn't Bouazza a Pardew signing? And Dean Sinclair, Martin Christensen, Luke Varney, Andy Gray.....
  • saint fan the truth is that Pardew did not make that many crap permanent signings, although he overpaid for them, what he did wrong was confuse them and demotivate them. Look at Racon and Semedo now compared to when Super Al brought them in, Moots will be a better player although not with us. It will be interesting to see how this fella and Lambert are performing in six months time.
  • Became a legend at Fiorentina after scoring away at rivals Juve, I think it was the equaliser as part of a 3-2 win. After that he did precisely feck all, although to be fair division 3 is slightly worse than Serie A
  • Scored twice in the last three years - deffo Pardew's type of a striker ;-)

He isn't a striker. He can be used as a striker but he is more of a winger. Anyway - only played 8 times since signing for Fiorentina. Mainly in the RW role.

Fiorentina fans love him, and he must be something if Fiorentina swapped Van Den Borre for him.

  • Yes he must be a top player if he has joined the team adrift at the bottom of the English third division. Sounds like a pardoo signing all right, will take you for a lot of money over the course of his contract for not doing very much.

    Money talks.

Papa had interest from several Seria A clubs earlier in the summer, Fiorentina didn't want to loan him. The only reason why we've got him is because we have a contact at that club and I suspect we've agreed a very nice sum of money if he impresses in the option to buy.
  • He won't hack the physicality of League 1, I watch Seria A football on quite a regular basis (and a few out in Italy), it's lovely football to watch.. but strikers (or RWers..) like him will need to barge their way to goals in this league, I'll be surprised if he scores goals for fun, just because he's played a handful of games in Seria A.

This contact... did Pardew sign him up by any chance? :-)
  • By the way, I hope we're not talking about big money you might be paying him if he impresses. the majority of the games he's played were in the Seria B, this is pretty much the equivalent of the conference. He'll be no better than Magno Viera IMO.

I remember that name, didn't realise but he's now at Ebbsfleet.

He's found his level! Would love to go and watch Ebbsfleet soon, if he's playing. :-)

Pardew and Nicola Cortese both discuss our transfer business on a weekly basis, I suspect Nicola Cortese mentioned him.

What makes you think we will get pushed off the ball? Hearing from Fiorentina followers on BBC 606 etc - They say he is quite strong on the ball.

Only the two clubs know the fee that has been agreed.

If he manages to get a good partnership with Lambert that see's Lambert score 20odd goals, I would have no problem with us paying £1m for him. He HAS to be better than Matthew Paterson anyway.

  • If we had signed him we'd be excited about him for all the reasons Saints Fan says.

May turn out to be a good loan/buy or it may not. If he plays right wing he will be up against Youga with Bailey covering so let's see how he does. Youga is pacey and coming into form. Daily and Llera will have to work on Lambert but they can both deal with an arial attack. How they would do against real pace we have yet to see.

No news on Jardi who I think is better than this division. Fancy our chances more if he doesn't play.
  • What a brilliant signing, had our defence at sixes and sevens set up Lamberts hat trick, why couldn't Pardew make signings like that for us.

What a load of rubbish, no close control and ran a round like a headless chicken, typical Pardew loanee.

Don't get fooled by Football Manager, Vanden Borre isn't very good

Gone down hill a slight bit but I remember the hype about him a couple years ago.

Jaidi's permit is expected in a few days. What is the cut off time for him to play on Saturday?

Perhaps they should sign Eldar Hadzimehmedovic and Cherno Samba as well...

After some of the shite we've had to watch (JFH, Jeffers, M Bent etcetc) I'd be a little worried about statements like that.

Do you really think he chose saints because of what a competitive league the 3rd division is, or maybe it's down to what a lovely lovely place Southampton is.

Then again perhaps he doesn't give two craps about your club and just wants some of that money.
  • What about Maxim Tsgalko his he still the Belarussian legend he onces was in Championship Manager! sign him up!
  • This has all the hallmarks of a typical Pardew loan signing, he's available so he'll give him a go. The Chairman has stumped up a bit of cash, he might be good, he might not and I doubt Pardew has seen anything more than a few youtube type clips and consequently he'll have no idea of how to best utilise his skills. If that's the case then I predict pardew will make him play to a system that he's not familiar with and you Saints fans will have to take pot-luck on whether he'll fit in or not.
