Since World War 2 Charlton have now won 3 league games at Brentford (incidentally all on the same weekend in November). In these 2 previous seasons they achieved...
15/11/1980 Brentford 0 Charlton 1 - Promotion from the English Division 3 (old)
16/11/1946 Brentford 1 Charlton 4 - FA cup finalists.

How weird is that - and has to be a good omen!
Actually even more positive than stated above- we won the FA Cup that season. I'll settle for promotion this time. though.

is that why you lost? The players knew there were no league points at stake and so switched off. After all if you won it isn't as if you would have gotten anything for it.
Regarding your winning run Berty, Do you think it has in any way hindered you? This may sound stupid, but it appears to be the case that you'd prefer not to lose and so settle for a draw rather than go for a win and kill off games? Out of any team in the league, Huddersfield have let winning positions slip the most times, 12 in all.

interesting point ... don't have the bottle when the key games come along?

I think it did hinderd us sometimes, yes.
When we equalled the record, we looked like we didn't want to lose, rather than wanting to win. I feared the same would happen on Saturday, but we played with some of our old flair for most of the game.
We usually have a stronger 2nd half of the season, than the 1st. Hopefully this will be true again, and we are already 9 points better off than after 18 games last season.

We lost because,
we started with the wrong team/formation (Jodan Rhodes was on the bench). And we had a mad 7 minutes when we conceded 3 goals. They came so quickly that we hadn't the time to reajust.

Lee Clark has learnt from that mistake.
we had a crazy 7 minutes this season. We had already smashed 5 past Preston though;)

The starting line up is exactly: Elliot, Richardson, Llera, Dailly, Youga, Sam, Semedo, Racon, Bailly, Shelvey and Burton.
That's an omen.
And more importantly - did it give you your tortoise back?

But the down side is,
We (Hudds) never lose a League Game. When it's a League Game.
Play Offs ??
(play offs are a seperate comp with it's own 'trophy')
Is it the play-offs??
That's why I said "when it's a league game"
The play-offs are play-off games. League games have 3 points for the winners.
Another good omen is the second best team in our division can play 43 league 1 games without losing but still can't get promoted

Im sure ive read today, that the two previous unbeaten run records (held by Arsenal and Forest) were lost 2-0 to the eventual league champions.
Man Utd beat arsenal 2-0 but Chelski won the league that year
