  • [cite]Posted By: Scoham[/cite]Sam ratings very interesting, lowest is 4, highest is 8.

I will hereby justify my 4/10 for Lloyd Sam. I thought it was a below average performance, hence why he scored under 5.5. I don't remember him putting in a single cross all night, and he ran off the pitch a couple of times in promising positions.

One thing he did do very well though is get as far away from the dugout as possible before being substituted. He clearly knew he was about to be subbed, there was an Orient player down, so he crept towards the opposite touchline which was the left wing, even though he was playing on the right. Unfortunately this was the best thing he did all night.
  • Fair enough, I wasn't there so can't comment. Is he there to put crosses in though, or offer us width and pass the ball around, rather than sprint past left backs and swing crosses in? Was brought up in another thread and it's a good point. He may well have been told to cross only when he gets into a really good position, in or very close to the box.
  • Elliot - 8 - Made the saves he needed to and done well with his kicks because he did receive the ball a lot and sometimes on his right foot!
Richardson - 7 - solid performance, didn't get as forward as he can do though.
    Dailly - 8 - very good.
Llera - 9 - He wasn't at his best at the start of the game but he gets a 9 for his perfromance towards the end alone. every header he went up for he won! was quality.
    Youga - 7 - No mistakes :O
Sam - 7 - poor first half and didn't see much of the ball but second half made space for himself and always gave everyone an option.
Semedo - 8 - calmed down second half and looked class.
Racon - 9 MOTM - changed the game for me in that second half. got the ball down, won his 50/50's and generally controleld the game. that shot as well :(
Shelvey - 8.5 - poor first half thought he was gonna get sent off but second half was immense and got a great goal too
Bailey - 7.5 - tale of two halfs again tbh. first half he barely touched the ball, was very odd. second half he got th eball liek every minute and was involved with pretty much everything.
Burton - 8.75 - his hold up play is fantastic and once again he show3ed that he is the chipping master

yeah very, i personally thought he played very well but sometimes lacked the final ball. but i think he was probably our main threat and shelvey and would have been my MOM if had a end product
    you mean like an equaliser?

Teams are "doubling" up on Sam , which means there has to be a gap somewhere, so USE it !!!!

Totally agree...last night the 13 was on his heels all through 1st half and had to come deep to get the ball. Every time Richardson was looking for him there was nowhere to pass the ball to him. Perhaps Bailey should have come more central earlier as he got in the game more when he did.

Even bigger range now, wasn't there, so what did you think about him (apart from having a very good game)?

Considering we only seemed to want attack down our right wing for about 60 minutes of the game, I think he did very well. For the majority of the game he looked like the only player creating something for us. He could of done with more help from Richardson and Racon at times too. Although sometimes he seemed to be running into a brick wall, he didn't give up. Could be a good season for him this year. Slightly concerned about our lack of a left winger this year.

I know he set that up, just in general crossing was quite poor but general play good hence why i gave him a 8. god knows why that person gave him 4 think he must of been watching different match and yes i have seen ur response trying to justify it but is bit harsh but each to there own

  • Just seen the highlights on CAFCTV, two good finishes and a nice effort from Racon, nearly curled that into the top corner.
