We have a settled winning side, the manager and the fans agree that the squad needs strengthening. If there is no new money coming in by the end of this week who would you sell, what realistic money would you hope to get and how would you spend it, or leave everything as it is until the New Year and hope we don't have any major injuries?
me?
I'd sell Shelvey get £2m and a loan back for the rest of the season and spend £1m on a centre back and £1m on a striker. I'd then sell Gray and McLoed, and spend that on a left back.If I couldn't get a loan back for JJ I'd sell him for £5m'ish also sell the 2 strikers and buy CB,LB and more on a proven striker who can link up with Burton.
Why Shelvey, because if we have a goal scoring striker we can play 4-4-2 or move Bailey into the middle with Small or Basey on the left. Also Racon & Bailey are more experienced midfielders than Shelvey and as the season gets harder we shall need experience and if we want raw youth we have more coming through from the youngsters.

Agree. Means no Bailey or Racon possibly Shelvey. Forget promotion if we lose that midfield.
We would not spend it we would need to bank the money.
Leave him alone will you. He's from up north, where a loaf of bread costs tuppance and where the fifty pound note is a 'myth'.
He said 2m and a loan back. But if it was a straight sale only he said 5m.
So we'd be paying £3m to loan him for the rest of the season. I think not. If he goes, he's gone and we won't be seeing him again unitl we're back in the Premiership.
Yeah I heard that. He was also saying the last four or five weeks have apparently been the week it's going to happen, there's been rumours that it's close and then another weeks gone by. Just the way we've seen it happen.
Hopefully it won't be much longer now, two weeks time the transfer window will be closed.
