[quote][cite]Posted By: heavenSE7[/cite]Nobody has really said anything on this yet. I find is quite BIG news that Curbs was at the game. Considering he isn't really a "fan" what was he doing there?[/quote]
Being in charge of a club that long and achieving what he did, I would think if you were not an avid fan you would still have some support for them.
I saw PV and some suited guys outside the ground, unfortunately got no more info than that! Surprised Curbs was there though, still don't think he'll be involved in any official capacity, he's still suing West Ham isn't he? Think he'll be advising Varney in an 'unofficial' capacity until thats dealt with
Only thing I think we can draw for certain is that it would be a massive coincidence if Varney, and one of the Curbishleys, weren't involved in the takeover. Also seeing as neither of them have been seen at a game (to my knowledge) for a while, I'm seeing this as further proof that what the majority are saying is correct about it being completed soon.
Then again if they were involved, you'd think they'd be in the director's box as opposed to with the fans......
End of the day if a takeover is on the edge three league wins out of three can't harm any potential buyers, it will just show them the potential we have as a team and the large away fans present tonight would should the fan base and the money that can generate, not that the new owners wouldn't no this already ;-)
[cite]Posted By: carly burn[/cite]Curbs son is a season ticket holder at Brisbane road.He borrowed it just to see how his old lot were getting on without him.No conspiracy i'm afraid
How can you borrow a season ticket for the away end
Ok OK. The borrowing bit i made up( who doesn't on here nowadays). But the bit about his son is true.He lives up the road and probably just fancied a night out with some old aquaintances.
i sat in the same row as the great one(curbs is saying the same thing about me this morning) and varney was in front of him a couple of suits with them of which one was an orient fan who cheered a little too much when they scored...
[cite]Posted By: A-R-T-H-U-R[/cite]There are sooo many tossers out there who criticized Curbs for his tactics, his buying policy, his approach to Charlton in the big league, in fact anything that didnt make us top three that I wouldnt blame him or his brother to treat Charlton fans with the utmost contempt. As Bill said, total ingratges.
Oh yes, bleat all you like, but you know who you are.
i'm with you A-R-T-H-U-R
some doughnut kid in front of me said 'i'm going to go and have a go at him it's all his fault' ... i give up!! ..........
we're not worthy mr curbishley.....
Why were they not sitting together?
Did Curbs get there late and missed out because of the unreserved seating?
Is there an embargo on even them talking about the takeover?

they were with sitting together just varney in front with 'friends' curbs behind with his 'friends'
if Curbs and PV are involved in the takeover it makes sense that they sat with us in that if they were spotted in the Directors Box it would be all over the media and SSN by now whereas this way they have kept out of the limelight, hopefully until the deal is done any day now.
Curbs was just in front of Me Medders & Gumbo, the only reason Curbs was there is it is a local game for him & probably had nothing better to do. He left when we went 2-1 up. Someone asked PV about takeover on wayout & he wiggled his hand from side to side (NO not that sign you rude lot !) as if to indicate in the balance. Try not to read to much into it :-)
we would have been moaning to high heaven if sir alan was in the orient end watching this game. he clearly has great affection for this club and used this opportunity to join us. varney let a couple of things slip.
So let me get this straight.Varney was sitting in our domain, with absolutely nowhere to hide, and none of you were able to squeeze any info out of him at all.
Shame on you lot.
Must have been a lot of CL nearby as he was only a couple of rows in front of me and cambs_addict

CB - too busy watching the game!!! Saw a couple of youngsters approach Curbs for autographs and much picture taking at HT. Very much a protective ring of 'friends' at half time preventing a casual approach....

I told everyone I spoke to him last week in Bromley and he wasn't giving anything away.

When my words come true I would like to be known as the messiah
They wont
LOL
PV likes to watch games at Charlton from his seat in the west not the DB seats maybe he likes to do the same at away games too
