    Not his fault at all.

Good luck to the bloke. Interesting that Waggott commented on the sale and not Parky.
  • "Alan Pardew's scouting team"

What a bloody laugh that is.
  • Good news for Charlton and good luck to the player.

Presume Parky is more concerned with on-going business tonight and most likely is neither at the ground or the training ground.
  • Sounds like a good deal for all parties. Good luck to him, glad he is gone, one of the last of pardews follies, if not the last.

    "Izale Folly"
  • Considering that we have been relegated twice since he signed for us, how bad must he be to have never got in the first team?

    Good luck to him.
  • Charlton chief executive Steve Waggott said: "This deal is a financially good one for the club and gives Martin the opportunity to kickstart his career with Rimini.

"There have been lengthy negotiations with a number of clubs across Europe and Martin's advisors for several months, and we believe this is a good resolution for all parties.”

Hopefully that means we are not still having to pay a chunk of his wages.
  • As long as we are not paying any more of his wages this is a great deal. good. I predict this will not be one that comes back to bite us!

    Also Parky's
  • Hurrah, only ever saw him at Stonebridge Rd in a pre season friendly & he was truly awful.
  • Great news and well done Steve Waggott for touting this waste of valuable money around europe until he found another Mug...I mean team......another Woeful Pardew signing bites the dust ( I really hate this bloke for the shit signings he made). Rant over...off to Orient now

Given that rimini were only getting crowds of 5-6,000 last year before they were relegated, I would guess that we are still paying quite a large part of his wages (unless he has also taken a large pay cut because he wants to play).

A bloke called Haverson recommended Christensen. Phil Chapple came on the scene later I believe.
  • well we offered him a payoff which he rejected so we have either increased that offer or he has decided to take it so as to play football. Interesting to say he's been released.
  • Well if there could be one exception to the 'transfer embargo' that may or may not be holding up Andy Gray's departure, this is the one we would all have voted for!

I'm not going to spoil the glad tidings by speculating on how much he has cost us overall. It's good news for him, too, as he was in limbo (admittedly a very well-paid one) at Charlton. Good luck to him and his flashy motor in Italy. Wonder why Southampton didn't come in with a huge bid for him, though? Odd that...

  • I find it hard to believe that someone who represented his country at 4 different ages isn't good enough to get into a 3rd division team.

Having seen him play, it's clear that the Danish U16-U20 aren't very good.

Carl Leaburn did something similar but a lot of people never rated him.

I was not amongst those people.
  • I second wss's sentiments

I really doubt he is that bad. It's more a of a case we can't afford to pay £100k to his former club which we'd have paid if he made his debut, for a player no better than say Wade Small, who we signed for free and with much lower wages.

Anyone know if Paul Haverson is still scouting for us?
