True. His actual words were "the takeover was supposed to happen and it didn't."

Still implies no takeover IMHO.

and there has been nothing from the club to suggest it isn't happen, and no disrepect to Davey, he hasn't a clue what is actually happening or not happening.

If it wasn't happening, I suspect Gray would have been sold in the blink of an eye on Tuesday

Davey said the takeover was meant to go through on Tuesday but didn't. He was right, doesn't mean the takeover is off.

Sorry Len I'm with Rothko on this, the comment by Davey tells us nothing other than the takeover hasn't happened (yet).

Well it`s now just 17 days till the window closes and our manager has dropped enough hints recently that a good few deals both in and out are lined up but depending on the takeover on exactly "what shop". This seems to indicate that we can expect an announcement one way or the other quite soon imho.

I think everyone knows that something has to happen this week, if only to give any new owners time to do what they "want" to do in the transfer market or if it falls through, time for the current imcumbants to do what they "have" to do. The delay to me suggests that there are still some differences to sort out, with the asking price being the obvious one. We can only speculate on who folds their hand first.

Can`t understand this to be honest. It the most important issue surrounding Charlton at the moment perhaps even more important than the football because our future depends on it. I am interested in every post thats made in good faith by someone who has heard something. I suspect that there has been a few wind ups but most posters on here are genuine I`m sure.

Granted, and six months ago I would have view my post with similar disdain. However.. please view a number of posts on related threads.
