Wayne somebody

edited August 2009 in General Charlton
My mate at work said his next door neighbour claims to have played about 20 games for Charlton in early 90's before retiring with a knee injury. Said he came through the ranks at Charlton.
He cant remember his neighbours surname but first name is Wayne and he is a black fella.
I cant think who this might be and reckon his neighbour is on a wind up.
Does anyone remember Wayne X playing for us back then ?

    It's a wind up.
  • Could it be Kenneth Wayne Achampong?
  • He was a Fulham player before he came to us, so never came through theCharlton youth team.

Here's an interesting article about Kenny: Kenny Achampong
  • I think the player is Wayne Walters, I used to go to a lot of the reserve games at Welling in the mid 90s and remember him - he was very impressed that I knew his name when I met him after a match.

Let me know if I'm right will you MrOneLung.
