I know it’s tough for the squad, but I see getting some positive momentum going a must. Perhaps players with knocks will be rested but other than that it must be the same players, I think Parky will make minimal changes to try and get the run going

I agree with this, with the exception of giving Gray some much needed match time in place of Burton (not taking away anything from Deon - he had a great game Saturday). Basey/Randolph may get a look in, but I wouldn't want to make wholesale changes.
Definitely don't think we should be playing the likes of Sam, Bailey, Shelvey and Semedo. If they get injured we're short of cover and they're not worth risking in a cup that we've no chance of doing anything in.
I'd go 442:
Elliott
Richardson
Llera
Mambo
Youga
Wagstaff
Spring
Racon
Basey
Gray
McLeod
I've been thinking about this, first I was thinking give most of the team another game together, but our squads just not big enough to handle any of the main players getting injured. I don't think we'll see all 11 changed, I can't see more than one youngster making his debut from the start, so probably see one from Mambo, Stavrinou and Clark start the game. Randolph, Solly, Basey, Spring, Gray and McLeod could all start, leaving just a few players from Saturday to start the game, depending on how fit they are.
[cite]Posted By: Scoham[/cite]Small in for Sam now please.

I thought Small was a left winger and Small would play left wing with Sam on the right?
I would give McLeod and Gray more time together. I'd especially like to see McLeod score and hopefully boost his confidence.
Spring should come as will Small.
Randolph in goal and Basey at FB or midfield. Solly also.
Hard to rest the whole XI from Saturday as I don't think we have enough cover at the back. The Barnet friendly showed that we don't have a whole team as back up but as it is an away game why not give the youngsters a run out. The worst that can happen is that we lose.

He can play either side, meant to be decent on both feet but naturally right footed. Maybe Sam could do with another game though, so could see both out there.
[cite]Posted By: razil[/cite]Can't belive so few takers for Dicko, put him in with Gray (who needs match practice)
McLeod seems to be ahead of him now, and has at least created a few chances for himself in the last few games. Just hasn't finished them (though he had a good finish disallowed v Bournemouth).
I'm happy for either of them to play alongside Gray, there's not much between them.
[cite]Posted By: Weegie Addick[/cite]Let's keep Semedo and Racon out of there too -keeping them fit for the League is an absolute priority.
Elliot
Solly Mambo Basey Youga
Wagstaff Spring Bailey Small
Gray McLeod
Keeping them fit is a priority yet you want to risk Bailey?
Both Semedo and Racon spent a great part of last season injured. Three out of four of Sat's defence are already carrying injuries, so I'd want to ensure nothing happened to Semedo in case he's needed in defence on Sat. Bailey is generally a bit tougher, and he's the captain, so I'd keep him in.

Save the first team for Sat. Two big games in four days next week. Hartlepool then a top of the table clash with the Os!!
Then I'd play 442, with two up Dickon etc.
Let's see a front pairing of Dickson and Gray
Richardson
Llera
Mambo
Basey
Sam Small
Racon
Spring
Bailey
McLeod
Gray
Subs:
Elliot
Dailly
Wagstaff
Burton
Dickson Tuna
Semedo
Youga

Sam----Racon----Shelvey----Bailey

-Solly--Semedo--Youga--Basey-

Solly

From the first day of the season, we have potentially a run of 3 games in 7 days consistently out to the 5th Sep.
This is a long, arduous campaign, and we need to use all the squad we have.
I'd happily sacrifice the league cup this season if it will improve our league chances
Kap's link.
EDIT: Now we have Small I would stick him on the wing, drop Semedo and put Stavrinou in the centre of midfield with Spring.
I might also start with Gray instead of McLeod.

Put Small in for Basey on the left
Sam has more to prove so drop him in alongside Spring, Racon and Small
back four Semedo Youga Mambo Solly
Solly Mambo Semedo Basey
Waggy Racon Bailey Small
Gray McLeod

At least we have another option out wide now.
