Betting Plan this season wil be ?

edited August 2009 in General Charlton
I know bugger all on betting infact only ever bet at the ground.........every game i try and bet £1 on us winning first half losing second and visa versa with opposition its like 23/1 well did use to do this until last season and dint bother........looking back i think i would have been well up .. so this year im going to try to do every game.................best bet always is the winning at halftime cos then its either one point three points or £21 up if we loose..........anyone else do same bet each week hoping to win...........

  • 3-1's seem to pop up surprisingly a lot at decent odds in various games.
  • Jonjo first scorer and 2-1 nearly won me £400 last season.

Nearly isn't good enough though is it?
  • Llera first goal could pay dividends I reckon

if he's about 20-1 or better he's bound to nod a free-kick or corner in at some stage

providing we aim one at him occasionally - at Bournemouth on Sat, that muppet Spring aimed all his first-half at Bailey instead...
  • Always do Jonjo first and 2-1 the singles and the doubles but am changing it this year to 3-1
  • No value in first goal scorers or scorecasts rarely bet in football but if I had to it would be with Dartfordgent and his half betting
  • I like that idea of backing Llera to score first in each match. I'm a bookie and my colleague is a big Scumchester fan and always backs Vidic to score first and last when they're on tv, made decent money of the big Serb.

Apply the same logic in Lads in the Vally and it might just ad that little bit of interest to the match for you. I would just do first goalscorer though.

I'm going to back CAFC in every game for €5 and see if they can pay for a trip to the Valley before the end of the season.
  • dunno about charlton one but on the subject, well sort of?? scorecasts are always good value, once got paid out around £250 on £5 bet on crouch to score first for england and us to beat andorra 5-nil was quality as was in the stand and with 25mins left me and all my mates were cheering every miss from england which was quite a giggile but wat a result!

This year i think 2-nil scoreline, unsure of who wud be best first goalscorer tho i reckon lloyd sam may be good bet, ususally dont rate him but this will be his season so why not!
  • Vidic and Lescott paid good returns to first goal backers last season.

Think Llera can do the same this year.

33/1 generally which seems good value as Dean Sinclair is 14 and Fortune's 25s.
  • Bailey 1st G/S got me a few quid last season
  • Think I'll go on the "3-1" scoreline at Home:
    We're bound to conseed 1...........

  • Ladbrokes are giving 176-1 for dailey first and 3-1. £5 on that gives you £880. That dont seem a bad bet
  • Just got 270-1 for Dailey and 3-1 ... Jonjo corner dailey heads in job done
  • first goalscorer racon 22/1 with skybet.
racon to score anytime 7/1 with hills.
shelvey hat trick 80/1 with skybet.

    Oh so bloody close

I bet you wanted the game to end on 50-odd minutes, eh uncle?
How much did you have on it?
  • Only a fiver but after 3-1 it seemed to go on for ages and ages

"only" a fiver still would've been a very tidy result!
  • Apart from my first goalscorer / correct score bets...i always have a saver punt on the time of the first goal --

    i always do 21 - 30 mins ... worked today @ 7/2.

go through the season doing 21 - 30 mins and you'll be suprised how many times it comes up !!!

    Be Lucky !!
  • Yeah was absolutely gutted. Still always next week :-)
  • I've been using the following 5 bets almost every home game for the last 10 years or so.

    3-2
    4-2
both our our centre backs as 1st scorer ( 2 bets obviously)
    + 1 higher priced midfielder.
    £2 on each bet
    £10 overall

    Yesterday Dailly 28/1 & 3-2 25/1 so I took home £110

    some from last season were

Hudson v Swansea approx 28/1 ish
Holland v Reading approx 20/1 and 4-2 66/1 if my memory serves me right
    Bailey v Wolves 16/1
    Bailey v Ipswich 14/1
    Spring v Palace 16/1 or 20/1
    Racon v Plymouth 20/1
    Bailey v Norwich 12/1 & 4-2 66/1 (approx)

I have found over the years that these have paid their way not to mention the great game v Chelsea 4-2 100/1 and Herman 1st scorer 50/1

With our forwards not exactly prolific the odds are quite good.

If only I had done some as doubles, but there you go you can't win them all.

    Good luck and try it.

I keep the bets low as it's all part of the fun of the day and it doesn't matter if they don't come in.

  • hope a few of you followed the tip and have been backing Llera for first goal

    quids in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Came good again on saturday 25/1

    After 2 home games thats 2 @ 25/1 and 1 @ 28/1

See you in the queue after the game against Brentford!
  • how bout llera to sore first decided to do this on saturday 25 quid up cheers son
  • nice one all the llera winners , you just know his odds we'll be slashed for the brentford game
  • any bookies would be mad not to cut him to 20s or even 16s for future home games

at home we're going to dominate territory and possession and have lots of corners and free-kicks near the oppo's box so he's bound to be there or thereabouts for first goal week in week out
