Tickets for Saturday

As one of many "lapsed" season ticket holders (ducks from the rotten tomatoes), I have been surprised by the lack of promotion by the Club of how to buy tickets on a match by match basis. Not a mention in the last email bulletin, and the info on the official website is brief - doesn't actually say whether they can be purchased on the day right up to kick-off, which I assume is the case?

Come on, guys, give it some publicity - getting us back match by match will be the best way to get us to buy a season ticket again in the future, whether that's part-way through this season or for next.

Oh, and I've just discovered that the online purcahsing system doesn't work with Mozilla...the reality of what division we're in is dawning....

  • Why the worry? The season doesn't start for a couple more weeks.
  • Agree Weggie, i havent renewed for the first time in 31 years, really cant see the point, also gives me the freedom to move around and sit a different locations within the ground,i still maintain though the promotion and marketing of the club is somthing that needs to be looked at, from the club shop, ticketing, price structuring, travel there is so much more they could do to generate revenue for the club

Think someone from The Valley has just read this - just gone back to the official site on IE, and hey presto the initial splash page has changed from season tickets to Wycombe tickets....

(If you click link to buy, it still takes you to season tickets first though)
  • Online fails with IE too sometimes :-( With my Wycombe tickets I had to phone up as the website wasn't playing ball. Nice lady in the office waived the booking fee tho' :-)
I normally buy a long time in advance online (to avoid the rush?) and get tickets in the post - I think you can buy pretty much up to matchday and pick up the tickets on the day
  • Incredibly still no ticket information in today's email bulletin. Do they not want matchday sales??? Plenty about the Handbook and Jackpot Tickets, though. The phrase cart and horse comes to mind...

Things can always be done better and ideas are welcome, but you need to understand that the club has cut its cloth in a way that does not make promotion and marketing a priority, which is often the case with businesses in difficult financial circumstances. Whether or not that's the right decision, it's unrealistic to expect an improved service to result.

  • My dad renewed his season ticket yesterday and the lady apparently said over 10 000 season tickets sold.
  • That's great news, Charlieee. Let's hope they're not on holiday this weekend !
  • We haven't sold 10,000 season tickets (yet). That figure includes staff, directors, sponsors, etc.
  • [cite]Posted By: Airman Brown[/cite]We haven't sold 10,000 season tickets (yet). That figure includes staff, directors, sponsors, etc.

What are the current figures for tickets sold and "others" then RIck?
  • Going by what Airman has just said my guess is around 9,650.

Whats the true figure Mr Airman of sold tickets
  • About 9,500 sold - I'm not going to get into the other categories because as I've said before it depends what you include.

I'm only interested in paid sales so 9,500 is pretty good, lot better than I expected with the current uncertainty.
