Too many to mention but non charlton: Defoe (not england quality, only scores against amdorra and trinidad), Barton, Morrison, Andy Johnson (pleased he has been found out as average striker who scored a lot of pens once) and Drogba. Charlton players: Ambrose, Bouazza, Butterfield, Scott Sinclair and Traore
[cite]Posted By: Telnotinoz[/cite]Darren Ambrose, Luke Young, Paul Walsh, Jermaine Defoe...the first two overated, with the first one being an ignorant prick and the latter two vermin
That's surprising Tel...I always rated Luke Young....has done very well since he left us and still a No1 choice for Villa....good player mate....wish he was with us now I can tell ya!
In the red corner, Rommedahl, because he seemed to crystallise where it all started going wrong for CAFC. I've never heard so many excuses for a player, "not playing him right - can't settle in the area - not his style - the pies are no good, etc, etc" - and all the other ones we've had for legions of useless underperforming numpties in the last 3 or 4 years. He was the most un-Charlton player who ever lived. Probably only Martin Cranie and Lee Cook rate lower in my affections.
As for the rest of football, Eddie McGoldrick was one irritating individual in the groundsharing days. At the time I worked with a Palace fan, and he said his main tactic was to tap the ball into the full backs ankles and win a throw-in. Even I thought this was an over simplification, until they sold him to Arsenal and our resident Gooner said the same thing.

If he'd have been playing today he could have earnt himself a big contract with Stoke.

True, I suppose like they used to say about Martin Peters, he was ahead of his time.
Andy Roberts, ex Millwall, Palace and Wimbledon scumbag. Made a w@nker sign at the covered end one year and had the sort of smug face that deserved to submerged in a bucket of raw sewage.

I walked in on him biffing his Mrs many moons ago - his 'war face' was equally nasty!
[cite]Clinton O'Morrison, forgot about that reptile, he's about as irish as I'm Chinese.[/cite]
In Ireland we love the English lads whove played for us over the years or "Sasanach"s as we call them.
For instance try telling anyone too young to remember 1988 1990 and 1994 that Matt Holland isn't Irish, when he stepped up after that scum Roy "I'm more important that my (former) country" Keane walked away, it was Matty who scored against Cameroon and put us in the second round... I'll never forget that.
Mick McCarthy is a legend and Jack Charlton won the world cup with you but he makes the hair stand on every Irishmans neck when he says "Put 'em under pressa".
So even if Clinto is a scummy eagle he's Irish enough for me.
Paul walsh, as mentioned, absolutely slates us as a pundit ... flippin aresh0le.. my dad always reckons he was gay...
I find it quite hard to hate charlton players bar murphy and parker... and parker at the end of his time with us and lest us forget the peak of his career was giving it the hand behind the ear... Its so irritating that he thought more of himslef that the club... got shafted at chelsea...
come on boys just get a result against Wycombe and let me get some hope and some bloody joy again....
COME ON YOU REDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COOOOOOOOOMMMMEEEEEEE OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNN YYYYYOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

How did I forget Bellamy? Add him to the list along with Gary Neville.

He always fell over his own boot laces, not to mention his inability to hit the target....
