[cite]Posted By: tangoflash[/cite]I take it we're talking about Shelvey here? I know we are in a slump as a club at the moment but Ipswich is hardly a step up is it?
yeah it is ,they're a lot nearer the promised land than we are
The Board might decide that selling Jonjo for £2m will enable them to pay Christensen off and any other remaining Pardew deadwood.
Not something I want to happen but Jonjo comes from across the water and Keane was one of the greatest modern midfielders. Who better for him to learn from? A probable Championship first team place thrown in too.
I would not dismiss it given our parlous position both on and off the pitch.
I cant really see him going anywhere other than the prem to be honest. He's gotta know he's better off playing week in week out for us than risking his progress in the championship.
I'd like to think the board would'nt sell for that amount either after Villa just payed Leeds 8mil for Fabian Delph.

Surely Christensen can't be so crap he wouldn't even get a game in Div 3....can he?

I don't think he is. We're assuming he's Blue Square South standard when he's probably on a similar level to Wagstaff, or even a little bit better.

we are as close to ipswich, as burton albion are to us. so yes it would be a step up. (imo).

Not true. Ipswich is 80 miles away whereas Burton is 128 miles
CAn't believe this is still doing the rounds!! Jonjo is too good for Ipswich. Their manager is pants and when he does go it will be to a MUCH bigger club than Ipswich

He's seriously a lot better than Wagstaff. He'd easily have been our first choice winger in the Championship had it not been for the financial idiocy of his deal.

They've got money. Why else do you think Keane is there?
But the reported 2m fee is nowhere near enough.

We all know this!

Keane will implode at Ipswich this season.
