Has to be for me the 3-1 win over Sunderland, in which they scored 3 own goals. Any other great Charlton moments where we weren't actually the instigators?
How about Van Der Sar rolling the ball to Melville who underhits the retun pass under zero pressure; and both leaving the ball for each other as JJ nips in to score against Fulham a few years back

Great drive up and back eh BW? ;-)
After 23 years I think we can reveal CAFC's promotion that day was down to our "twice round the roundabout" lucky omen which paid off handsomely- I'm still waiting for a thank you letter from Lennie.
sorry but your all miles away. Has to be one dark night in Woolwich when 100 or so people packed a council hall to hear that the club would be returning to its home. You could say (and be 100% right) that there was light at a very long long tunnel after that anouncement. No players involved in that.
as a great man said " never have so many owed so much to so few" --------(and i dont mean the CAFC Board!)
Tolmie stands out as Ive never really seen anything like it since...that was a really good day out too. But GH is right Woolwich Town Hall has to be tops
[cite]Posted By: rhinosvalley[/cite]Manchester City Away midweek at their old ground....I think we was 3-1 at the time near the end of the game Charlton cleared the ball up the field, and I think it was their goalie came rushing out of his goal to stick it back up the field - gave it a good kick and I think Claus Jensen jumped/stuck a foot out and deflected the ball right over the goalie and flew back into a emmpty net to make it 4-1......was brilliant at the time and it was a complete freak but it was so good to shut those City supporters behind the goal...............
Colchester's own goal to give us the most undeserved 1-0 FA Cup Win in 1984. Not a Charlton player within 20 yards of the scorer.

Glad someone else remembered it!
This my favourite one as well.
The VFR against Spurs when we went down.
