Aaron Brown, a former England schoolboy international, made nearly 200 appearances for home town team Bristol City before joining Queens Park Rangers and after loan spells with Torquay United and Cheltenham Town, he linked up with the Imps' assistant manager Iffy Onoura at Swindon Town.
A full-back who can also operate in midfield, Aaron stayed with Swindon until his release at the end of the 2006/07 season, before he linked up with Onoura again, this time at Gillingham, but following managerial changes at Priestfield Stadium, he found himself made available for transfer by new Gills' boss Mark Stimson in January 2008.
Aaron, who impressed during a trial game for the Imps' reserves against Sheffield United at Sincil Bank in February 2008, signed a one-year deal with City five months later after his contract with Gillingham was terminated.
