1980's

I have just seen, with my very own eyes, the first proper 'wedge' since i reckon 1984. I kid you not. This bird had not only the spirit level cut going on but it was dyed a very tacky shade of paroxide blonde too. Thought i'd been transported back to a Modern Romance photo shoot!

Talking of dodgy hair cuts I saw Gerry Francis on a where are they now and he's still got his mullet (now grey). Absolutley shocking.

The wedge seems to have been threatening a comeback for a while. Once that hideous two-tone look came in, I suppose it was only a matter of time before we saw it again in all its glory.

Hated it with a passion then and still do now

1905 used to have a wedge, back in the days when he weighed 12 stone.
