I don't have kids so maybe shouldn't comment but when I was a child I was always made to wait for things I "wanted" and told it was "I would like" and not "I want". Although it'd be good for cafc to get the money, I also think if you don't teach your kids they have to wait fot things sometimes, they'll never learn. I don't fall for this 'another new kit I have to fork out for for my child' it's your choice. You're surely lining yourself up for a spoilt child if you buy them the latest fad all the time, including kits!!!
i have 2 kids and believe me they are not spoilt like u suzie i was brought up exactly the same but im speaking for all parents some people dont have the money like others nowadays its just i think the club is taking advantage of its own brilliant supporters the club has money problems so i guess its the supporters fault again the board need to look at themselves and the players and go hey why are we in this position .and suzie i have brought my kids up very well thank i just think that all football clubs with players earning big wages 2 day are taking the piss.
Bottom line is that nobody is forced to buy a new kit. If you don't like it or don't want it, then don't buy it. It's so easy to be negative and moan about everything coming from the club. The weather is great, it's almost weekend, cheer up!
In terms of shirt sponsorship, I found this on a certain ex-employee's Linkedin page:
"Currently working on the sourcing and negotiation of a new shirt sponsorship for Charlton Athletic, the 2012 Olympic sponsorship strategy for Greenwich Council, the development of the groundbreaking 'Street Violence Ruins Lives' campaign for Charlton Athletic Community Trust, providing on-going sponsorship advice to a potential new sponsor in football, the promotion of the unique Football Knowledge Drills, an i-phone app, and very shortly, a project to develop the the sponsorship strategy for the British Amateur Boxing Association."
Think I read a suggestion, by Chicago Addick, that we should put Demelza House on the shirts if no sponsor is found, I like that idea. Hopefully we'll have clowns on the shirts this season but none in them! (please note this is just a mock-up I have no inside information, I am a lowly mac artist).

Sorry cannot reveal my sources, wouldn't want to compromise any of the top directors
It's just a regular Joma team kit that anyone can buy, with a bit of photoshop doctoring.

Erm, I'm not spoilt, I was taught to wait or go without all the time. I never expected. Things weren't affordable back then and its about choices for the parents. I think its terrible that the club have to change the shirt again and so late in the day - it should have been sorted sooner personally but the club aren't in a very powerful position. I agree that in the last few years the thinking of customers by the club has disintegrated and I bet it'll get much worse before it gets better.
Do people think the OS will actually show us the new kit before tomorrow's game?
Or will the players have to wear bin bags over the new design - perhaps just revealing the socks - to continue this rather strange tease for another week.
