I must see this film again as it has considerable amount of footage from the Valley in the 1950's. Strange as the film is set in Lancashire.

I didn't think Arthur Askey ventured south of Manchester, although the scene at the end when the train pulls up behind a big terrace is at Burnden Park, Bolton, there's plenty of The Valley in the rest of it. Guy Ritchie should do a remake.

With Alan "Brick Top" Ford as Arthur Askey. Actually, fans of Snatch will enjoy this, probably not for the sensitive(don't view it at work!)
