agree , we're finding the level some of our players should be playing at
Disagree entirely - he is very good at breaking up play and the simple pass. Very poor mans Makelele. As long as he sticks to his limitations (ie doesn't shoot or pass more than 20 yards) he is excellent for us
With a proper defensive midfielder like Semedo in the team, we could play 442 with Jonjo also in midfield. However, I doubt we will still have Jonjo, so that's a bit academic...
A brilliant player and probably our best long term replacement for Holland. I think we really missed him last season when he got injured. He'll be a Premiership player one day - hopefully with us!

43 starts 16 sub appearances ZERO goals , he is no matt holland....
premiership you're having a laugh...

Red Red Robin may have gone a little OTT - but as a holding midfielder he is solid. He is not a goalscorer (much like Makelele) but his job is to break up play and play it simple
not the matt holland thing again. i have been saying for the last 8 years that he's past it and his legs have gone. well this coming season i might be right. but if not this, well definitely the next,or the one after.
i agree he breaks up play , all be it sometimes with a reckless challenge but i think he struggles with the simple football things ...
he's been here for the decline and i think there's a good reason he isn't anywhere else
we've found his level imo
Not the greatest player we've ever had but IMO he's a player we missed a great deal last season. With him in the side breaking up the play and getting stuck in it'll give the likes of Racon/ZZ/Shelvey/Sam/whoever stays, the freedom to be creative and do what they want going forward.
Every team needs a 'water carrier'.

Not liking this ;-) but agree with oohaah here i think he would be a good squad player, but does not possess enough going forward to be a regular in centre mid
I think he is a very good player. You have to remember he is young and has been chucked into Centre Mid which is not even his position. I reckon this year he may actually get to play in his prefered position in defence and provde the doubters wrong...Premiership player, I am undecided but he will definately be a top Championship players at the least IMO.

Careful what you write, we don't want to lose him.

Agree with both of you here, games like QPR away last season he really stepped up and if it hadn't been for injuries he would be first team no doubt, he breaks up attacks well and i think he is under rated in our team.

I think he is the nearest we have to Kish and from me that is a compliment.

A toasted Semedo & Racon sandwich please.
