We need to be a bit more pro-active with Christensen. I believe we tried to buy out his contract at a reduced rate but he rejected the offer. We are left:- 1) paying big wages for him for another two years 2) paying his club £100k to use him 3) hope that another club comes in for him and matches his wages
the 1st option looks most likely, but surely we can better put him in the shop window in this country than Denmark. If we are paying the lions share of his wages, I'm sure there are Championship sides that might try him on loan, he was not without some talent from what I saw of him.

That was option 2 "2) paying his club £100k to use him". I've only ever seen him at the Welling friendly, and he couldn't kick the ball off the floor. If he was that good we'd be prepared to pay the appearance fee to play him. He clearly isn't.
Is the club required to employ Christensen solely in the capacity of 'footballer'? I'm sure most of us have 'mucked in' from time to time at our firms, and undertaken tasks not strictly in our job description.
Perhaps he could assist Paddy Powell with the pitch, or help out in the ticket office?

He came on against Sporting Braga and looked totally disinterested.
Hardly the attitude of an ambitious new signing eager to impress and push for a first team place.
No. We'll have at least a couple of players on more than that I'd imagine. Not all the high earners will go.
I think we'll get rid of him eventually, even if it's another loan in Denmark again. From what I've heard he's done ok out on loan this season, probably isn't as bad as made out but we'll probably never know. Doubt the club can afford £100k on a player that we have no idea if he'll be useful for us. Hard to tell how good he'd be just from reserve games, or games in a different league and country.
To be fair it's not his fault we thought he was good enough to get a 4 year contract on £5k a week. Seemed we didn't do our research and scouting on him properly, not as good as we thought he was.

Let's ask Seth

Now of course we know thr reason why!

Good luck with him though, it doesn't matter whether I like Charlton or not, nobody deserves players like that!
