BLACKBURN boss Sam Allardyce is trying to sign Amdy Faye for the third time.
Big Sam, who steered Rovers to Premier League safety last month, has offered £2million for Faye, Stoke City’s player of the year.
Allardyce has previously signed him for Bolton and Newcastle.
Senegal’s Faye, 32, can operate at centre-half or in midfield.
Rovers’ bid would give Stoke their money back after signing him from Charlton last summer.
Faye never played for Bolton so Big Sam didn't sign him there.
Faye signed for Newcastle in January 2005 (Souness bought him from Pompey) a mere 2 & a 1/2 years before Big Sam took up the reigns.
Stoke's player of the year was Abdoulaye Faye. Our Amdy barely featured after Xmas.
Don't these journos do any research before printing such garbage?!

And that as well, Stoke barely paid anything for him, not £2m! We were the unlucky ones to pay £2m for him.
What about Hasselwank?
