[cite]Posted By: Riscardo[/cite]Do fashion and football actually go ?

Been an essential part of football culture since the late 60's (West Ham Mile end boys etc) IMO

[quote][cite]Posted By: les_says[/cite][quote][cite]Posted By: PalaceHater[/cite]Away days - Was alrite, the director tried to do too much away from the football with society, the storyline confused a lot of the audience when I saw it.

ridiculously far fetched plots, like someone stabbing someone else in their firm in a local pub on a random evening[/quote]

you not been on a night out in birkenhead, mate!?!?

Well i had a flat in birkenhead, was the posh part, Hamilton square with a great pub in the square called the letters, was my misspent youth era!

Also visited Sherricks top of Penge high street for all my clobber, great range of Harringtons, levi red tags and pleated ben shermans, also got a nice prince of wales check suit. They also had a nice range of tonic suits.

I still have my cloth made by Crombie, aberdeen scotland coat which now only comes out if it's really cold.

    think i'll get the book.

I'd be well up for an 80's style casual revival. The Burberry, Stone Island thing of the late 90's onwards is far too 'Chelsea glory boy' for me but stepping back to the old Borg Elite, Tacchini trackies, 'boghouse' outdoorwear etc would cheer me up no end.

Does anyone remember Chipie? I used to love their stuff in the mid 80's. Are they still on the go?

It will happen again soon I reckon, I have noticed a lot of youngsters wearing the mod/preppie look, pastel t-shirts and jumpers around the neck with slicked hair, (look at Josh Wrights barnet), if I wait long enough, maybe even my hair will come back into fashion?

    Chipie gear was superb!

Does any one remember when TON SUR TON tried and failed on the casual scene?

I had the White and Gold pair!
I thought I was the dogs danglies.
When Adidas brought put their 'cities' range of trainers I had the 'munchen' pair in red and also the 'Belfast' that not a single person ever remembers. Unfortunately I wrecked them when I fell in a stream......

My sister had a Ton sur Ton sweatshirt in lemon. She switched to Benetton pretty swiftish though and I never heard of them again.

Of the 'modern' clobber I really rate Henri Loyd and the reissue Fred Perry. What do you think?
