'I am not sure what role CEO Steve Waggott and Rick Everitt should be taking here. Both seem to regard an active dialogue with an unrepresentative 1% of fans- loosely known as "their mates", as sufficient for a club that up until recently had nearly 20,000 season ticket holders. '
Who are this unrepresentative 1% of fans?

Why don't you put you name forward? That's a serious suggestion.
Go for it. Then you'd have a direct line to Waggott, Everitt, Murray, Chappell etc and would be able to get your views over.
Application process on the OS.
I'd never touch another man's cardigan. Some things are sacred : - )
yep and we never disagree on this site, we are just Henry's minions..
I think that Nick’s concerns are valid – he writes it in a sensationalist manner in order to provoke a response and I think that is to be applauded, it’s always interesting that’s for sure ! It would be good to have someone like him on the FF but I don’t think it would appeal to him. I don’t know him personally but that’s the impression I get when I read his stuff.
He certainly seems to be enjoying his outspoken infamy, that's for sure.
He said "Or is it the usual case of the Board having a meaningful dialogue with an unrepresentative 1% of our fans " - Well apparentley they don't even consult them anymore
"treating the rest of us like domesticated mushrooms. Kept in the dark and fed bulls-it." - That's pretty much the opinion of lost of fans on this site re the lack of comment since the end of the season
"And is this Club actually going to have a f
pre season ?" - see the comments on the Ipswich home game
"are we going to limp on like this for another 8 weeks, give P.P another season by default, and then justify his failure by saying he 'never had a pre season'." - yeah, probably !
Like I said, you may not like his style, but you can't say that this was aimed at CL.
That's why I think he should go for the Fans' Forum. If he is really that passionate and concerned then he will want to do something practical and actually contribute to re-building the relationship between fans and the club.
Clearly I speak and no one ever disagrees with me on here : - )
And I think the term is not "minions" but "acolytes"

"Emerging today from his home in Grovelsbottom, the deselected ex Fans Director addressed the thorny issues of most concern to Charlton fans. Speaking in his fruitiest Donald Sinden tones, and holding a thumbed copy of Eric Blair's 1984 to bolster his intellectual credentials, the author of Five Friday Choices said....
"As a club insider, I have mixed views on Jonjo Shelvey being sold to Millwall. I will be seeking assurances from Richard Murray that the money raised with be used in the proper way The investment in high quality vol au vents next season is vital at this time...and not ones from Iceland mind, I will be insisting on the Waitrose brand"
On the question of treating 'ordinary' fans with contempt this last 5 weeks, the legendary Murray apologist angrily refuted this;
"I have been assured that things are going on behind the scenes. I can reveal that Varney has been back to the Valley. Luke, that is, he forgot to pack his hair gel before he left for Derby. I have been assured that difficult decisions for the long term future of the Club have also been taken. Parkinson has been told 'no more Evian water' on the touchline...he will have to make do with Perrier next season, like the rest of us insiders".
Henry concluded
"We are going to do a Leicester, and Parkinson will be judged on results".
Further Charlton news...
Charlton have announced that they have commissioned Sir Norman Foster to build a bespoke atrium in Floyd Road, to house the swelling collection of Community awards.
Martin Christensen [who ?] continues to be paid £5,000 a week under the terms of his contract, although we have never played him. Martin was last seen running in a delirious fashion down Woolwich High St, singing "Alan Pardew Is A Football Genius".
The Official Site today features an in depth profile and interview with one of our all time great strikers...Mike Small."
Followed a little later by ........................
Henry Irving - an apology.
"In view of the various representations I have received about this thread, and with the benefit of hindsight, I would like to apologise for any impression I have given that Henry Irving is a toady. From now on I intend to closely toe the party line, and to deviate not an iota from the Henry Irving/ Dickie Murray line on issues.
Let me have a try at this....and place myself in Henry's velour slippers for a minute...
- "2 relegations in 3 years"- an unhappy accident, forget about it and you will feel better in August
- "no info from the Club since relegation"- what right have you to even ask, you are but a normal fan
...blimey...I am getting the hang of this.....
- "The future of Parkinson"- I still think he could be a good manager for us, give him time and judge him on results.
- "The takeover"- a thoroughly bad thing, nobody can fill Richard Murray's shoes
.....wow...this is catching.....
Finally, I would like to apologise once again for calling Henry Irving a self important Board toady. That was most unfair.
To the toad population ."
