Community Work or not.....

edited May 2009 in General Charlton
Just thought I d raise this sensitive issue,

As we are now in the 1st division should we carry on putting that much effort into community work or concentrate at the task of coming back up straight away.

In which ultimatly will benefit both the club and the community.

Comments

  • We could sign Joey Barton to do the Community Work .......seems to be his thing.
  • Joey Barton and Lee Bowyer... what a team
  • It's all run by the Community Trust now, so financially has no impact on the club.
  • oh.. faire enough but surely must take time from the clubs employees / players
  • We shouldn't do either/or. We should continue to do both.

Each and every supporter should take pride in the work of the community team at Charlton. And the club will continue to reap the benefits of being an integral, important part of its community long after next season.

It's not as if the players take time out from training to contribute to the charity work (even though on match days they play as if they've never met each other before).

They train for about 3 hours a day according to Jonjo's recent interview. It's not much to ask them to help out withthe club's community projects once in a while.
