Also, although I know nothing about the law in the UK, in Canada when advancing a claim for loss of income for constructive dismissal, you have an obligation to show that you are taking reasonable steps to secure substitute employment. I would think that it would be in his interest to be able to show that he'd at least been trying to mitigate his damages by seeking a new job, no?
The above does not constitute legal advice...etc, etc...
Can't see Parkinson or Pardew taking the Reading job. Parkinson's not a Championship calibre manager, not done well with us or Hull at this level and Pardew left on bad terms when he went to West Ham.
I reckon they'll go for Brendan Rogers. They'll have to trim there squad, players like Doyle and Hunt will go for a much smaller fee than they would of got when first relegated, and Rogers could manage the younger players coming through. Plus he's ex - Reading

[cite]Posted By: seth plum[/cite]READING CAN YOU HEAR ME....Pardew and PARKINSON, you know it makes sense, and we can throw in the geordie smiler for good measure.

I'd drive him there myself if they want him back. Unfortunatley on a lot of polls on local papers and fans sites he is well down the pecking order.
How do you figure that he 'missed out' on Ipswich...was he ever in the frame and if he was, was he interested anyway?
He is down our pecking order to but we are stuck with him !
he was mate, had been mutted around portman road for sometime think him and sheepshanks? are close friends.
what has Sheepshanks got to do with it ? I'm sure Marcus Evans would have decided who Ipswich's next manager would be.
Also he hasn't settled his compensation package with West Ham
So how could he manage Ipswich?
The west ham thing wouldn't prevent him form taking either the Ipswich or Reading job, if they had been/were to be offered.
arkinson.
