Says that he is staying at Rangers. Says that he is developing and learning there. Also says:
"Before, I didn't really know what it was like to be at a big club, didn't know the mental strength needed. Now, every game is a must-win and you must concentrate completely for 90 minutes. That's very different from my past career."

What a tosser
Quality, explains a lot!
To be expected but a shame
Still - thats history - onwards and upwards
Dropping down FROM wednesday and Charlton - I'd say he's gone UP in the world!
Joke?
He's Algerian, Muslim and apart from some time living in France, he hadn't much experience of Western culture, let alone the UK.
He was also young and naive.
But he was talented and enthusiastic, and determined to go for it.
Remember the old You Tube vids of when he was on loan at Crewe for a few months, before being snapped up by Sheff Wed?
He was a swashbuckling defender who would regularly beat 6 players on the run from his deep centre back position right into the opponents box - but totally wreckless. The fans loved him, but he was a manager and team mates nightmare.
When we signed him in the January of our last season in the Prem, he'd only been in this country a year and played only lower grade football.
He made an encouraging debut against Man Utd, was scythed down by Saha - and didn't feature again until the last few matches. I remember seeing him come on as sub at home to Sheff Utd - he looked like a rabbit caught in headlights, scared shitless. And arguably he cost us that last minute goal at Everton, straight after Benty had equalised.
But Pardew & co set out to tame him, and instill some discipline into his game. It seemed like they forbade him to cross the half way line, and were intent in turning him into a Charlton version of Rio Ferdinand.
After some hugely inspiring performances, particularly alongside Paddy - he was unfortunately injured for 2 months - there's a factor we haven't properly considered in last season's late season plummet from our rightful 5th position to a woeful 11th.
By the time he was sold last August to raise funds, in time honoured Charlton tradition, he was still very much a work in progress.
Shame he never got the chance to mature with us, his absence is probably another of the reasons we find ourselves in the Third Division.
But he has matured into a very good player at Rangers. It's our loss, of course - £2.5 million and a place in the Third Division as compensation, lol.
Good luck Magic!
Couldn't agree more though, think most people could see the talent he had, shame he just didn't get chance to prove it.
Nope Rangers are a much bigger and better side than us! Therefore he has not gone down he has gone up in the football world!
Weetabix? That would have been a good idea, lol
Despite being a school night, went round a mate's last night, had a drink or 6, really late night, couldn't sleep and this morning fuelled on real coffee just to somehow keep going.
Work is too dull to concentrate on, so just writing about my only true love.
Sad bastard, lol
Do you ever watch Scottish football?
Footballers...FFS.
I'd question whether he really has to concentrate for 90 minutes when Rangers are playing the footballing powerhouses of St Mirren and Hamilton 4 times a season!
He's hardly a Babylonian or Wahabist for allah's sake. Algeria and much of North Africa was run by Frenchies has been more open to 'European' culture than Britain. Sure some fucked up Muslim insurgents might have enjoyed killing westerners in the 90's but as a country it's more open to europe influence than russia. Fact is the man's great to watch but can't defend was another charlton player who didn't have a clue positionally unless he played next to someone who kept him in check. Just like Cuellar great in Scotland no better than average in a big league. We were lucky to get 2.5 back and stupid to pay 2.5.
Exactly, and I would have admitted that even if he had signed for the sporting wing of the ira across the city in Glasgow, and I hate the feckers.

Do you ever watch League One football ? I think it's fair to say that he's made a step up to a bigger club. He has come on massively this season and is starting to fufill some of the promise he showed earlier in his career. Bearing in mind the problems we've had in defence this season, I'd say his departure ranks only behind Reid's in prompting our decline in terms of playing squad. Massive loss.
