"Back on the opening day of the 1965/66 season the Addicks were at Bolton Wanderers and, just a handful of minutes into the game, Rose dived at the feet of a home forward and injured his knee allowing Keith Peacock to replace him and thus become the first substitute to ever be used in the football league."
Well, it wasn't too bad without looking anything up, was it?
I reckon that Glover and Kenning scored our goals - which would support the fact that Kenning did not go in goal as I don't think we scored early in the game.

Have to do better than that (especially as you were there too!) :- )
when was that ? Damn, missed it again.
OS says knee. OS is always right. : - )
I was only three so you may well be right.
Seems like John Hewie went in goal so, if I'm wrong about Mike Kenning, I'm wrong about the finger.
