Is he his own man or is he tainted by being part of the Parkinsella team. Just a thought as Parkinson was attributed to being tainted by association with Pardew. Parkinson has stated he wanted to keep big Chris I wonder if there were things that Kins would have done differently? From the stands it appears that they 'walk and talk' together.
And when is his contract up for renewal? Felt for him yesterday he must be hurting having lifted play off trophy and Championship winners trophy in the last 10 years

As for whether he is his own man or not, he is part of the coaching team headed up by Parkinson and therefore must be loyal to him and implement his instructions. We've had enough problems this last season, but one I wouldn't expect is to see Kinsella and Parky having major disagreements and doing their own thing independently of each other.
Yep but that was after Pardew left.
Parky and Kins will do o.k next season - but if a takeover happens expect them both to leave!
then why take a job assisting someone you don't get on with? That is bull. Pardew, like all managers, would appoint as number 2 someone he can get on with, someone who has the same philosophy, the same ideas. Also, if they didn't get on and Parky was so against Pards' decisions then why didn't he take the Huddersfield managers job when offered? To slag Pards off now just goes to show how two-faced he is. If he disaggred with Pardew so greatly then he should have said so and walked.
They played together at Reading briefly, before Pardew became his manager while Parky skippered the side.
So when Pardew needed an assistant, he turned to somebody in Parky who he'd already built a rapport, felt would support him (the old Reading manager/skipper combination) and no doubt mutual respect.
When the Huddersfield job came up, Pards made it clear he wanted Parky to stay. So plenty of respect between the two at that stage.
It seems apparent that they stopped singing from the same hymn sheet during Charlton's post-Andy Reid era during the secondhalf of last season and no doubt also, as this season began. Perhaps by the time Pards was fired, their relationship was barely functioning and there was much disagreement .... ?
I would say that their relationship probably only became strained during Pardew's last 7 or 8 months as manager - and the Iwelumo sale can clearly be seen now as a fundamental difference in each other's perspective, as was the lack of solidity and backbone within the team.
I don't see that as 2-faced, just that differing viewpoints possibly contributed to an increasingly strained relationship between the two - but hadn't got to the stage where they'd come to blows or Parky felt he had to leave.
I don't suppose it's any different in football.
You don't walk out of your job the moment your boss tells you to do something different.
