Managerial master-stroke?

edited May 2009 in General Charlton
Was it just luck, or an inspired piece of self-serving spin for Parky to ensure that the 11 players on the pitch at the end of yesterday's game allowed no scope for anything other than a remarkably generous reception at the end of the worst season in many a long year? There were 3 almost unblooded players who couldn't possibly be blamed for relegation (Solly, Tuna and Wagstaffe). Two other blameless young players in Elliot and Shelvey. Then there was top-scorer and p-o-s Bailey, plus Racon and Burton (who for all his previous disappointing appearances had just scored 3). Leaving only 3 others whose contributions during the season could be open to more debate.

  • I love a conspiracy theory.
  • Not really, there aren't many players we can blame, it's really the club has a whole. Wright, Dickson, Basey etc all came out onto the pitch after, but they're hardly to blame either.

Holland? Not many will blame him. Other loanees have already gone, Kandol, Spring etc weren't involved yesterday and they can't be blamed either, they've been here half a season.
  • You are right. Although Ward seemed to recover from his rib injury I clearly saw Parky kick him in the goolies.
    Inspired Management.

I believe the Board would have appeared but were too busy discussing new pie contracts with Delia.
  • Apparently her meat & 2 veg pies are very tasty
  • Managerial master-stroke, with Parky it's closer to managerial master-bate!
  • ..it's closer to managerial master-bate!
Oh dear. Can you remember where your coat is or shall I get it for you? ;-)
  • Seth - is there anyone at the club you like?

Perhaps 'supporting' a different team would be better for you??
  • Looks like this is gonna spark a mass debate
  • Sam lol do youu ever sway away from the rude lines ;o)

p.s you may remember me as Darrel the Dazzler from FV!
  • I'm just misunderstood Darrel & yes how could I forget you!
