spent too much time on Charlton this season to the detriment of my relationship with my family and wife, day out with the kids today at a theme park.I have got to start putting things in perspective so wont be on here as much.
I'm a late no-show too. Got stuff to do and the kick-off time means I don't have time in the morning or afternoon. Third game in a row my season ticket has gone unused, I can't even give it away!
I just knew that 15 minutes in I'd be thinking 'what the fook am I doing here'.
am not either. I ve been to only 1 game this season and it was against Palace a home. Looks like a picked the right game. I usually fly over 7 - 8 times a year for the footy and family.
[cite]Posted By: golfaddick[/cite]roll on July..........pre-season at park view road beckons.
I noticed in the programme it said the Welling game is planned for 8th July at the moment. Crawley on the 21st, possibly a game away to Barnet and it also mentioned a Premier League team at home on the 29th.
I had in on my toes at the final whistle - couldn't bring myself to clap them off given that this group of players have been responsible for the poorest performance for some 30 years. I for one ain't forgetting that.

They did a lap of honour and got a very good response. About 60% of the crowd stayed. Also see Parky mentioned possibility of new owners...
Don't think so BR. Obviously I'm pleased with the win, but the standard of football wasn't great from either side and Narwich were truly awful.
Nice to see a few of the youngsters given a go, but I don't think we should be looking to rely on them too much next year like some are suggesting. It's a tough and physical league next year and we're going to need a bit more than some raw and inexperienced kids to cope with it.
Anyway, that's for another time. Let's just enjoy the fact that this pox riddled lice infested carcass of a season is finally over. Amen.
My son and me went today. Only the 4th live game this season. Thought we played well although Naaaaarich, considering what they were fighting for, were a pile of cack. Reminded me of the Coventry game last season when we played well and won easily. As I said I have only been to 4 games and in 3 of three of them we looked pretty good (Swansea and Naaaarich home and Reading away). The other game, palarse away, we looked like a team that was gonna finish where we finished.
Onwards and upwards, tomorrow is another day and all that.

At least taking your kids to a theme park has more of a guarantee of being a good day out.
Hope you had a good time NSS - and don't worry, the game was still shite it's just that they were a lot worse than us!

Where is that? Can't see it on the OS, have they just left that bit out?

From the BBC report on todays game:
Charlton manager Phil Parkinson:
"If I'm not here next season I'll walk away with my head held high.
"The club has had a lot of instability. If the board, or any new owners, want to start again I think that will be a big risk."
Why would Parky mention .."or any new owners"? Strange for him to even say it. Does he know something?
Well if what kmem4 just posted is true there's something in it.
Just got back from NLJR's Tour of Camber sands they done well enough won 2 drew 2 lost 3 only conceding 3 goals all weekend
Sunburnt to buggery and i now remember why i dont drink Sambuca but i didnt miss the addicks one little bit
Saying that, I would have been tempted by a Stealth.
