lets hope that this lad has the sense to realise first team football is worth more than buying daddy and range rover. Englands young talents need to be nurtured by playing competitive football, not rotting in the reserves for 3/4 years

I've seen Jamie O'Hara's Range Rover, never a truer word spoken, vile.
I don't think O'Hara left a small club for a big 'un though. The other way, Arse' to Spuds. If they want to pay him sheetloads & he can afford a naff Range Rover, I say good luck to him. They are playing him too, not like he's rotting away.
Bostock definitely saw the lure of the bright lights. Maybe he was told they would do 'a Walcott' with him & play him on minor occasions, develop him slowly. Younger than Walcott too, & Wengers hand hasn't guided him too badly thus far. Could still work out for him yet.
I really hope Jonjo stays. If he has the ability, he has to play, whatever the level. Rooney, been pretty much a 1st teamer through his career thus far, since the age of 17. Not saying he will be as great a talent as the granny loving scally, but he won't be far off.
If ever a player needed to stay at Charlton for at least the next season then it is JJ...... However good he is and might be is he really going to appear in the first team most weeks in the prem.......
How many games has Walcott started and finished at Arsenal!. I know it is easy to say but I value the kid at £10 million plus. More importantly than that it says to every youngster if you are any good we are going to sell you!
If Charlton are tempted to sell, or more importantly he is tempted to go it is more than a sad day. The lad has a great future what is the rush for him......
They are, but to be fair if that story was about one of our players we'd laugh it off. Not a single source or quote, just vague ideas presented as facts. It couldn't look more made up.

One thing that no one will be able to throw at Shelvey that's for sure.
If that same bostock story was in the sun i'd think it was rubbish, but why would a spurs fanzine make it up? Maybe they agreed not to identify the source... wouldn't be that surprised if the source was bostock himself.
If it is true, he must have known he wouldn't play! If you decide to take the money and other benefits of going to the PL that's fine, but don't act surprised when you're in the reserves.

'....or whether or not I'll be here to make the decision'
And are Charlton really sh!t ?
(pssst, no need to answer that last question - we know we can't beat an egg. But we can get beat Palace)
;o)

They are possibly more skint than us and they have managed to keep him by playing him

i saw his motor drunk, were his wheels kaleidoscopish in colour/pattern ..... it made me feel ill!!
Having watched how we have spent money over the last few years I would not want that scenario
Darren Bent = McLeod, Varney, Gray, Todorov, Burton = and still none of them could score.
Promotion?
Oops, we f*cked that up, didn't we?
;o)
Well we do need to have a board and manager to spend the money well

his old man's already got one LOL

“He wants to stay, he is a Charlton boy and he wants to get this club back but you can never say never.
thats what i was told and i believe it
