And so, the final game of this turgid season. Thankfully after Sunday, we can all have a nice break. Just one more visit to the Fun Factory, and with Norwich still with a chance of survival, South East London is set to become a farmers market.
If you were picking the side, how would you play it ? Would you put out our strongest team, or play our regular 11 ?
How do you see the result going ?

I think the team should be as follows, I know it won't be:
Keeper: Elliot
Defender: Solly RB, Holland CB, Ward CB, Youga LB
Midfield: Bailey LW, Shelvey CM, Racon CM, ZZ RW
Up Top: Tuna and Kandol
Elliot
Solly ----Holland ----Ward ----Youga
Sam----Racon----Shelvey----Bailey
Tuna---Kandol
Subs
Randolph
Hudson
Basey
ZiZi
Dickson
or Clone some players and play
Elliot
Ward----Ward----Ward----Ward
Shelvey----Shelvey----Shelvey----Shelvey
Tuna---Kandol
had a dream last night, Richard Murray walks on to the pitch after the lap of honour "LAdies and gentlemen.. On behalf of the board and players and everyone conected to the club i have an announcemnt.. We have been over the past month working behind the scenes to in sure the clubs future. It is with warmth i can now reveal that myself and the fellow board accepted a bid to by the Club from... Points to the Tunnell.... Out walks Peter Varney and a few blokes we havnt seen before.. Varney takes the mike from murray.. "Thankyou Richard, i have massed a group of 5 men who will along with myself take this club to the top leval of english football once again, we have written off all debts and will be giving the new manager ample funds to acheieve our goals, please let me introuce you to the new manager of charlton athletic football club and may i sugest starting an OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHH.........
Then the alarm went off ;-)
I agree with that, we'll be 3-1 up with 15 mins to go, Barnsley losing 2-0 and we'll let 2 late goals in Norwich will run out of time.
1-1 Thank god for the crate of hooligans!!
;-)
mate.. i would love it.
I am glad your alarm went off when it did Adam, whilst I hope 90% of your dream comes true I don't agree that Chris Powell is the man to lead us out of league one , we need an experienced manager proven at this and championship level, not a "Charlton old boy" that gets the job because he was/is well liked.
We'll play our strongest team so I don't expect many changes from the starting XI of the last few weeks but hopefully Tuna, Solly at least will be on the bench and will get a few minutes.
This is likely to be the last that we'll see of some players who's contracts are up, if Matt Holland is one of those that go in the summer then I hope he's on the bench and gets a few minutes playing time.
back the overs market.
However, Chris Powell does have enormous respect within the game, haveing represented the players association, is well versed in league one and does have a contagious positive buzz about him. I am sure that he has a good network of contacts and would have good access to promising players. He just hasn't mannaged though.
Chances at both ends a bit like Southhampton away with 2-2 outcome after Barnsley go 2 up at half time.
Solly and Tuna get on late on when the game is meaningless.
Might be throwing him in at the deep end to come in and lift a club after relegation. Would rather see him learn his trade as a number two or 1st team/reserve coach first, preferably with us, and then step up.
neither had:
Roberto Martinez
Paul Ince
Roy Keane
Gareth Soutgate
darren Ferguson
Mark Robbins
Eddie Howe
Steve Bruce
Gianfranco Zola
Gian Luca Viali
Mark Hughes
to name but a few. Think personally Powell would be the man to grab tthis team and shake off the cobwebs and get us back in the right direction, but thats me.. picture dude.. what do i know ;-)
But neither had Les Reed. John Barnes went to Celtic after leaving us and did nothing. Tony Adams hasn't done too well. There are loads of examples either way.
24,000 crowd
sunny and lots leaving early to get to boozer (or to miss the lap of dis-honour).
no idea what team will be dont think it matters.
nice few beers in the sun outside the Anchor almost like Charlton -On-Sea
we the fan deserve a good day out --------- shame it wont be AT the footie.
That's better ;o)
Remember when they needed a win at fulham and caved under the pressure? Another 6-0 defeat for norwich, nice lap of honour for the team and parky gets a new 4 year deal straight after the game.
(i voted draw by the way)
