The effects of the continuing Charlton crisis will be felt for generations, a committee of MPs has warned.
The Treasury committee, in its second report on the crisis, said it had been caused largely by the board's own reckless behaviour.
"Board members have made an astonishing mess of the club," said committee chairman John McFoul.
The MPs supported the various attempts of the fans to bail out the club and to shore up the football company.
They stopped short of calling for any action against those responsible.
