Playing for Leeds today against Leicester. Looks head and shoulders above anyone else out there on the pitch today. Maybe we should have a punt on him next season? If hes prepared to play in League 1. Would be a great replacement for Hudson if he jumps ship!

And his family are from Greenwich, and many support Charlton.
I reckon he was hoping Pardew would have him back last Aug, but then managed to get himself injured and needed an op.
So Pardew went out and signed Primus and Crainie instead.
And some of those players will be lining up for Charlton in the Third division next season.
So why not Sodje too ... ?
He also mentioned to you that he was a CAFC fan
Don't rate him as a Championship player, very poor on the ball for that level but would be a good signing for League One.
And yeah he did say he wanted to stay after that last game of the season.
That is the 64,000 dollar question.
He needs to get fit though after a long term injury so just might sign a contract with a January escape clause if we look like blowing it.
The window doesn't shut until late August so he'll have time to demonstrate that he's fit before a move. Given his injury record we need cover for him - three (or even all four) of Ward/Fortune/Husdon/Sodje as next season's CBs would be the best in the division.
Ward won't be here next season. Probably won't be at Wolves either. A fee will be involved so that will count us out. Hudson will go as he will probably command 600-700k and will be wages off the books. If Leeds go up Sodje will more than likely sign for them.
As for Fortune, he had a chance to go to Stoke on a perm deal and didn't. The only way he will stay with us is if he takes a significant pay cut.
Quite who our CBs will be next season is anyone's guess.
He knows and the club knows that he's not going anywhere until he's fit.
Charlton have always been his only club, so he's 'comfortable' here.
He's a qualty player, especially at Third Division level.
I reckon the club and Fortune will do a deal - 3 year contract with, as Len says, an escape clause.
That way Fortune keeps his job security while he proves his match fitness.
And with a 3 year contract, the club can get a decent fee, if they need to sell.
Win-win situation.
As we all know, players are paid handsomely for what they do, and they all earn more than they need for a very comfortable living.
Supposing, just supposing, a beneficial financial way around re-signing selected out-of-contract players to ensure the best players stay around the team ( providing they want to stay), could be ......
...... offering a reduced contract, no immediate signing on fee - but written in to their contract an escape clause should first season promotion not be achieved - which gives them an attractive percentage of their transfer fee.
If immediate promotion is achieved, then they're offered an enhanced contract option, or transferred to the highest bidder in the close season.
I'm thinking of the likes of Fortune and ZZ, should they want to stay.
Go on, shoot me down ....!
;o)
So do I. He might go, but he's one of the bigger earners that could stay.
