The Ricoh Arena is on the outskirts of Coventry and a bit of a barren area for decent local pubs, uyou might be better off drinking in the City centre and then getting a bus out there.
Coventry aren't the most welcoming. Be streetwise and I'd not have any colours on show.A load of us got chased in the city centre on the way back to the train station, although this was when we beat them in the cup about 10 years ago.
Am driving up and gonna park in the tesco next to the ground. Gonna be wearing the shirt jonjo played in the last game against them last season so hope they aint to unwelcoming ha ah. Not sure yet if he's starting i've not had chance to ask him but i think he will feature at some point. Thanks for the map i will chek it out , gonna be there by about 10.30 so i'll have lots of time to go into town
If you are driving up there are decent directions from the motorway - as an added bonus you'll get to experience suburban post-war town planning at its finest.
There's the old cathedral and a wonderful Sutherland Alter piece in the new Catherdral and if you walk up to the Canal basin you can see where the photo on the back of the first Specials album was shot.
