My dad watched Welling on Saturday - said he was the best player on the park by a mile but is still prone to steaming in for rash challenges for which he gets booked.
[cite]Posted By: Scoham[/cite]Is he back because he'll be involved with the first team? I thought he was meant to be with Welling until their season ends?
was meant to be 2 months, we recalled him after one. No point unless he is going to be given a go in the first team. The following quote from the Welling manager is interesting :
"Charlton have been very pleased with Harry's attitude and training. They've noticed a big difference and want to have a look at him before the end of the season.
Before, I think he was probably going out of the door but maybe it will be different now."
[cite]Posted By: Dazzler21[/cite]Imagine the midfield of
Wright Arter Shelvey Wagstaff - actually maybe not too bad if the strikers could score lol
I think that midfield at this level would get ripped to pieces. Might not be too bad in league one but i still can't help feel that Wagstaff won't make it.
Good to hear about Arter's attitude. Maybe dropping down to Welling's level was the kick up the arse he needed as he's way better than that level as the last month has proved.

Funny how yet another of our young players has a perceived attitude problem according to the club's management. FFS the guy's been out for over a year with a career threatening injury. Coupled with a report on another thread about the poor cameraderie displayed at the squad hotel prior to the Southampton match, I wonder how much of this improved motivation Parky and the board speak of, is just hype. I think there are deep lying harmony problems in the training camp that should have been solved with a "new broom".
He has to be given a chance! I can't think of a reason why not to.
If nothing else, what's more likely to encourage people to renew season tickets? Sticking with the team we've watched be crap all year who could pick up a few points (because the pressure's off) before half of them leave in the summer. Or try some players that came through the youth system and could earn themselves the right to be in the team next year. Showing we have some bright prospects who could be the stars of next season's campaign sounds more exciting to me.

So Dickson, Moutu, Wright, Wagstaff, Christensen, Sinclair, Fleetwood and Arter are all rumoured to have/had an attitude problem or simply considered good enough.
Let's face it they were never ever going to be good enough to get into the side in front of this team of seasoned and Pros committed to the Club:
16 model Pros who, with a total of almost 200 League appearances for us this season have all, in their own little and differing ways, helped us to be where we are in the table today.
Incidentally, of the 16, only McEverley is actually currently starting for us or their current Clubs. And he left apparently because he wasn't going to be fit for a very long time and yet, within a matter of a few weeks, he became a fixture in the Derby first team.

Just saw that, good to see, hopefully he gets a chance. Would be great if it was on Saturday, even if it was just off the bench.
As someone said, much more likely to encourage people to renew season tickets than say putting Spring or Holland in the team. We know exactly what they can and can't do at this level, Arter has never had that chance.

I fear you may be right about wagstaff but then Sam was cack until he began to truly mature!

Yussuff in for Wagstaff would be better.
Wright Arter Shelvey Yussuff
Sam Wright Shelvey Basey I think it was.
