Parky

Is it me or is he turning into Colin Wanker, he seems to be always involved in some dust up on the touchlines these days.

  • Yeah, always, every game in fact : - (

    Showing Passion that's all!
  • Yep, but it is interesting. Shows he cares

how I see it. Don't really want to see our Manager getting involved in altercations all the time. Not the first time he's been sent to the stands.
  • One person says Parky's passionate.
    Or that he cares.

Another says he's like Colin Winker.
Or that he can't control himself.

    Same incident.

A manager can be passionate without losing their cool.

Do you want a manager that is the first person to lose their cool, or the last?

It's like the Kipling poem 'If,' -- if you can keep your head while others around you are losing theirs ...
  • Anyone know what his disciplinary record was like as a player? Just tried to google it, but couldn't get beyone this:

    Philip Parkinson Homecare Newcastle

Good to know he'll be there to pick up the pieces after Shearer and Dowie...
  • And to continue the quote:-

    'and blaming it on you'

Wotte pushed him, Parky was trying to stop the ref - who had already given them a pen for a foul 10 yards outside the box - listening to their complaints and so influencing his later decisions.

You'd think he was foaming at the mouth and throwing punches left right and centre from the way the incident is being described. "Losing his head, not in control". What a total distortion of the facts.

We win a game so can't really slag Parky off too much so let's pick up on a non-event and make it something it wasn't.

Yet Di Canio is built up to be a possible future manager despite doing far more on the basis that he "has passion"

    See below for confirmation

We can't possibly admit maybe he has started to build a team from what we have, why he playing 4-5-1 rather than being negative and that a good goalscorer up front or two could make Parkinson's team into a pretty decent one.
  • The goalscoring of Bailey, the return of quality players like Racon, ZZ and Jonjo, and the graft of Kandol up front has all made a huge difference.

With 6 games to go, on the park, it seems we've got much of our Charlton back.

From the little footage I have seen he doesnt seem to do much at all just speak to the ref and soton manager gets upset with it
  • If he stood motionless people would slate him for no caring or showing passion.

    Cant win whatever he does

I have only just seen the incident and I'm not surprised Parky got the hump....Wotte was asking for trouble with his reaction.

Not that he got much......I was laughing at Parky. He puffed his chest out like some pseudo bar room brawler and was clearly seen mouthing "you f**cking twat" (yes I can lip read) at Wotte.

Unfortunately, all this took place whilst he was wearing his tie halfway round his neck like some sort of bullied supply teacher. I'm sure he would cringe if he was to see it on tv.
  • Did you see the fat chavvy looking bloke storm out of the box to square up to Parky? Parky started backing off then!
