I have Newcastle v. Chelsea on TV right nopw and just fell off the sofa when I saw Dowie on the Newcastle bench....

Haven't caught much footy news this week... knew Shearer had taken over at Newcastle and had suspected they woudl be alright and stay up....

...but...er.... he seems to have recruited Dowie as an assistant.....

think Newcastle may actually go down after all!!!

it's pure comedy seeing up there next to Shearer.... whispering in his ear..... motioning to players and shouting instructions...

Am sure they will edit in to the highlights his involvement in Newcastle's early substitution to..... the guy has become pure comedy to me all of a sudden....

It's not against the law for a coach to watch other matches.

Besides Newcastle have to play Villa soonish, if I were a barcode fan I'd be pleased to see him putting in a few extra hours scouting a future opponent.
