Struck me when reading today's bulletin about the Fan's Forum:
"Among the senior Addicks officials present to discuss matters with supporter representatives were chief executive Steve Waggott and managing director Stephen Kavanagh."
Not wanting to cast any aspertions on the abilities of either man, but given the redundancy situation and the present size of the business, isn't this a bit top heavy?

However I believe Steve Waggott now has some footballing responsibilities which is presumably why Mr Kavanagh is needed as well. It is probably indicative of the tremendous job done by Peter Varney that one and a half to two people are needed to replace him.
If the Club continues to contract however then I agree with you.
All of the sackings can't just be Indians, leaving all the chiefs intact. So under the circs, no - we cannot afford two people to do Mr Varney's job when we're in div three.
Indeed, Rodney. Sounds just like your partnership with Del Boy !
Even worse than I thought, then. Whilst not wishing redundancy on anyone, I do hope the cuts are top down and not "just the indians" as nigel says. We are looking at turnover next year of well under £10M, I guess - that is a small business, and whilst I buy the idea of "two heads are better than one" for large PLCs, that we are defintiely not!
