the sad thing is that any of those mentioned (except parky) would imo have given us a boost after pardew was sacked but the easy/cheap(not so cheap now) option of parkinson was never gonna make a difference cos he was part of pardkinson.
paul ince for me , he's orrible enough to scare a few of them into a performance and he is the guvnor!!
O'Driscoll's not a bad thought. Coyle at Burnley and Johnson at Bristol City do well and we (currently) get bigger crowds than all of them.
Doubt Keane would come to us - Roy (not Robbie or the group).
Going back to the more successful times we had, what's Mervyn Day doing? He did OK when he was a manager, admitadly at Carlisle but he knows the set up.
A man who'd built a good reputation for himself only to be shot down at blackburn. Surely, he's hurting and desperate to get back and prove he can manage a decent sized club to success. And you never know, he might get the best out of Mcleod (then again, you can't expect him to work miracles)!!!!!
[cite]Posted By: thewolfboy[/cite]Paul Ince might break us out of our doom and gloom.
In retrospect, the Fulham boss would have been the best bet to hire after Curbs....but who would have guessed that at the time?
Hodgson would have been a great shout for following Curbs but I doubt many would have agreed at the time.
Don't like what I see of Ince's personality (all the "Guv'nor" stuff) but his track record is good and as saysomething said (see what I did there) he knows how to get McLeod playing.
PDC would get bums on seats thats for sure...I'd love him as our manager, lets face it - I know he's untried etc..but he can't be any worse than the so called 'proper managers' we've had to endure since Curbs left.

Mervin Day !!!!!!!!! - FFS
We need someone who will grab the job by the throat and shake this club up. Paul Ince is the one for me that could do that.
Lennie Lawrence this and Lennie Lawrence that, stop living in the past and look to the future. Our club is sinking like a stone and needs a massive shake up with new blood at the helm, as it should have had after Pardew left!
Were gona need someone with indepth knowledge of lower league footie parky has been away from it too long, need someone with an eye for non league talent even lower than blue square coz that's are budget hate to say it as I thought we could do beter but peter taylor or the dagenham boss would love gary johnson but no chance for that, paul fairclough? Cloughie jnr would have been a good shout, either that or we do a bournmouth make holland manager and see what happens howe has done wonders as its his club and he knows it inside out ala holland.
Brilliant, Darren beats up wife, di Canio is wild and supports fascism and Ince has a highly suspect personality. Not Very Charlton are they? But being Very Charlton doesn't seem to be doing much, so I'll go with Darren as I quite fancy seeing Man U reserves. But he and Daddy are rumoured not to get on very well, so that's doubtful as well. I give up.
[cite]Posted By: McLovin[/cite]Howe, Collins or Ince for me...
I assume you mean John Collins ?
I'm hoping he means Phil Collins rather than John Collins! What managerial experience has John Collins got that will help us? Finished playing here about 5-6 years ago, never managed in England and now manages a rubbish team in Belgium!

agree with you but I was confirming that it was John Collins whom he meant.

Rather have Betty Hutchins, at least she knows the club :-)

They have now : - )
Do we want a team full of Man Utd reserves? Well, actually now you ask.......................
Striker Firmani did at post 23. Cant see why he would want to drop a Division!
Marl goldberg bromley ;-) or ex brentford mr noades ;-)
Plus I think he'd do a top job and would be our best chance of going straight back up...
Ince done well with MK Dons, Pardew done well with Reading.
Ince messed up at Blackburn, Pardew messed up at West Ham before messing us up.
No thanks. Would rather someone without a big ego!
or Di Canio!!
