[cite]Posted By: jimmymelrose[/cite]Exactly. As a club we've never made this mistake before.
Who the hell is giving this guy English classes? He's been in England for several months now.
I'll give him classes. I'm an English teacher. And I speak French. Maybe I can help plug the Premiership's leakiest defence.
Is Henry Irving reading this?
I was told he started lessons when he arrived but like many people learning a new language maybe he doesn't yet feel confident enough to hold a conversation with a native speaker.
Also in the Bexleyheath shop there will have been many common people from Abbey Wood, Sidcup and similar areas who can barely speak English like what it is meant to be spoke so can you blame him for sticking to french.

Very funny Henry but you do have a point regarding being in the shop. I wouldn't expect the guy to understand native speakers who could be asking him any manner of questions, and very likely in very bad English. Some people on this site could do with thinking about their grammar and spelling more often.
I originally made my point however as a result of LenGlover's idea that The Elk only plays because of the language barrier when otherwise Fortune might play. After several months he should have ( not should of) learnt all the essential vocabulary necessary for the field of play in order to play with whoever merits being in the team. Is he in fact able to do this, and if not, why not?
I have no idea what his command of "leave it", "my Ball" etc is but these seem to confuse a number of English speakers in our back five at present.
I guess TEK plays because the coach thinks he's the best we have in that position. OK, some may not think that is the case but I doubt it is just cos he speaks French. Otherwise you would be playing.
Big fat MISS
Thought he was a hit and first, great to tackle and clear the lines and storm forward but positionally all over the shop and was made a mug of by a league two player this week.
The Wigan goals he gave away I was quite happy to write off as he wasn't used to windy weather - but now I have seen Bellamy and Easter both make him look useless in a few days. Maybe he will prove good, I certainly bloody hope so - but the space he has given the opposition this week has been scandalous.

As long as we haven't paid all the 3.7m up front.
