Nooooooooooooooo not our latest loan signing.

Was reading the latest edition of Antiques Info where they show a selection of items sold in previous month and saw this.

" collection of Charlton Athletic reserve programmes pre and post war"

sold for £ 1,700. Nice bit of dosh that.

Next week im having a letter written by Don Bradmen valued its from 1940 and talking about the affect of the War yet to be seen in Aus . His signiture alone should be £200 but there is the content of the letter as well .

  • Thought you said we were getting the Don on loan !
  • had the letter valued today. well actually wasnt valued as such was told they would like to put it into the auction with a recommended reserve of £200 on it.

i will look out for a specialist sports auction and have a go.

Perhaps you should wait until later in the year when the Ashes kicks off, there might be more interest in cricket related memorabilia then, especially if it is connected with Don Bradman.

You could also contact the Don Bradman Museum:

Interesting fact about SDB...he once met Sam Bartram, when the latter was on an FA tur to Australia.
