Miller at right back is another trialist, young pro from West Ham. Solly's moved into central midfield.

Looks like we've only got four subs, are we running out of players?

  • yes, most are out on loan elsewhere (mcleod, arter)
  • Another day, another team, another defeat.....

    :-)
  • No place for Moutilakil.

Dropped completely or being saved for Preston. Or going out on loan.

No place for my best mate Stu Fleetwood either

I can see him going out on loan to somewhere like Torquay or Bournemouth

Or Exeter. That's what you told us yesterday, Henry.

    ;o)

Well sort of, if you can count the Lewes game.

Looking back we drew 1-1 with Southampton.

So we're still unbeaten in 4 in the reserves.

Not everyone reads my "Who have I met today" threads so was keeping it as a surprise.

And not on the OS yet so not true.
  • I'd rather see Fleets on the first team bench instead of Toddy (no future with us) and coming on for some experience. How do we know what he can do unless we give him a go.
  • No Douala??
  • [cite]Posted By: StubleyAddick[/cite]No Douala??

we didn't offer him a deal. He's gone.

They only have four subs as well.

A new rule, a bizarre coincidence or a major conspiracy? You decide.

He's just making a comeback from a badly broken leg.

    Dear Sir Henry,

I hang on to your every word, Sir.
And also that written on the OS.

    Yours worshipfully,
    Oggy.

    Thank you Oggy,

While others were laughing and calling me a liar, even trying to trip me up by asking which Gym it was you kept the faith.

He will sign tomorrow then.. ;-)

That's a fair point, though I guess Parkinson see's it as more experience for Fleetwood, who he probably doesn't think is ready to start. Might as well play regularly while he can. Maybe Parkinson isn't looking to keep Fleetwood anyway?

is it his choice ? I hope not. Parky out !!
  • Doesn't anybody pay attention to Henry....?

As you know, he is quite likely the font of all wisdom, including inspiration for the hacks at the OS - and posted that Fleets
is expecting to go out on loan to Exeter. Or Torquay. Or Bournemouth. Or indeed anywhere that will have him.

You too can be a wise one. You just need to be connected.
And go to the right Gym. Or Tesco.

    ;o)
  • Went to the pool this morning. No one famous, other than me obviously, there.

  • Did we offer Douala any deal or has he left ?
  • We couldn't afford him in the end I think.
  • What a pity that we are stuck paying wages of loan players who definitely won`t be with us next season at the expense of possibly getting a player that the manager fancied who might have been available next season.
  • Sorry for doubting you Henry, but I thought Gym was a anagram for Pub and was too busy rearranging the letters ;) I expected to see on London Tonight at the Premier of "Lesbian Vampire Killers" with Mr and Mrs Murphy. ;)
  • A fine goalkeeping display by Nicky Weaver couldn't prevent Charlton's reserves slipping to a 2-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers at Stonebridge Road on Wednesday evening.

The Addicks, fielding additional experience in the form of Bulgarian forward Svetoslav Todorov, resiliently weathered a strong attacking performance from the Hoops, before falling behind minutes before half-time to a Rowan Vine penalty.

And while Weaver, continuing his return to match action following his hip problem, impressed with a string of assertive saves and catches, he was helpless to thwart Romone Rose's excellent solo effort which sealed three points for the West Londoners.

  • Perkins was the fifth, unnamed sub.
  • Looks like we're after a new right back with Ashley Miller on trial.

Premier League youth cast offs might be one upside of League One football next season.

Not good enough for the top flight, not experienced enough for the Championship - but talented enough for the third tier.
  • "Ashley Miller has been associated with West Ham United since he was eight years old and showed real potential in a high-profile reserve-team outings against Arsenal and Chelsea during the 2007/08 campaign.

The full-back, born on 5 September 1989, has plenty of pace and plenty of attacking ambition - underlined by the fact he cites Paolo Di Canio as his favourite Hammers player. Miller was taken on as a first-year Academy scholar back in May 2006 in the same intake as Freddie Sears, Jordan Spence and Junior Stanislas and has progressed to becoming a regular for the Under-18 side.

Occasional opportunities at reserve-team level, like his performances in November's 2-2 home draw against Arsenal and the 0-0 stalemate against Chelsea two months later, have also underlined his promise. The Hornchurch-based defender, nicknamed Millsey, cites Cristiano Ronaldo as the player he would most like to play against.
