Charlton Life Statistical Centre

A quick bit of spreadsheet work will tell you that a Charlton player starting his career in the 50's stayed for an average of 4.5 years. In the 60's, 70's and 90's the average was around 3.2 years with a minor blip to 2.6 in the 80's. Since 2000, it has dropped to nearer 2 years. I don't see much change before the next decade.

  • Statistics are a bit like mini-skirts - they give you ideas but hide the most important thing.
